what is the setup with rosario island, price, good for a day trip, things to do etc!

there were two options i saw (i've tried both):

1. 70k pesos gets you a day trip- boat ride out to one of the larger islands on a tiny speedboat crammed with people. stops at the sea aquarium, then at playa blanca for a few hours, stops at a little island restaurant for lunch. playa blanca is nice but swarming with touts.

2. there are several small private islands, of which the nicest is probably the cocoliso resort. nice place to bring a chica, no touts, few guests, quiet and very clean. $200 a night includes meals and transportation (bigger ship, not the tiny speedboats) also stops at the aquarium. there are some lesser/cheaper islands. but quality looked kinda so-so.

swim-up bar at cocoliso is the shiznit. pricey but i recommend.

edit: i'm not positive on cocoliso prices, the tout may have inflated them. they have an office on avenida st. martin for more info. for the 70k option, any tout can set you up with this (mery booked mine for me)

I guess that that situation varies much. There must be ups and downs. What you describe is different from what I saw and what I wrote. When I went to Diva or Tu Candela, there were not many girls, but some was really stunning.

I hope I/we will have better luck the day I'll return.

The real action starts around midnight. I was extremely disappointed: in DIVA, there were only two girls and in Tu Candeleria about 10, none of them being stunning. So I decided to go to La Dolce Vita (LDV) near the Casino. I expected a more high-end place but it was rather similar to the usual joint of that kind. There were about 30 girls of all kind, but to my surprise very few with manmade breasts. Bad luck, I am a tit man, and I really did not find anyone who was really fancy. As I am a relatively good salsa dancer, I invited one of the best looking girl though, and she did not seem to appreciate me, and when I tried to invite another one for a merengue, she refused! (NB: I am a slim man in is mid-thirties with a gentleman attitude). What a strange attitude!

So sorry to contradict you Black Page. I have also mongered few years, and one of the reason I have chosen Colombia for my vacation is precisely because I have a good mileage with the Colombians from the Caribbean and I found these generally more beautiful than the ones of Cartagena.

Maybe it was a bad day or maybe I am becoming too demanding or my story with my beloved in Cartagena (see in the general report) has turned me into a nice prince with less appetite! But honestly, compared to Bogotá (see my report in the other section), I did not find the quality here to be exceptional.

Dude, I have not really enjoyed LDV ever. I tend to like Mi Candela, and Electra after 1am. Those are more my style. I have not found too much in Bogota that I liked. I had one nice session from a girl at bar Juan Pablo, but in general I have not enjoyed Bogota. Electra is awesome after hours in CTG though.

Semana Santa starts the Sat. 8 days before Easter Sunday. It is one huge party in CTG and a fairly big one in MDE. I prefer to avoid CTG during this time because it is overcrowded and the room rates are double or more. MDE also commands a slight premium during this week. There will be no shortage of girls in either city during this time.

College break is the same as Semana Santa.
