First time in MDE was a complete success. Despite some valid forum complaints I had an awesome time but maybe I'm naive since I never experienced pre-covid, 2010's.

3 days. Stayed in Sabaneta, found a chill Airbnb. While it was far from the action, price was at least half of equiv places in Poblado. But since in non tourist zone, no issue having 5 different girls without hassle or fees. But not walkable accept to Mallorca mall. BTW, malls are amazing in terms of civvy talent. A random afternoon you'll see a beautiful paisa every 3 minutes. Long term visitors who are fluent, malls are the spot for normal girls.

Safety: Never wish harm on anybody, but as long as I stuck to the basics my sketch meter never went above 5%. Doesn't mean I felt invincible but what was at baseline like all the big east coast cities I live. A lifetime of testing situational awareness and COPs episodes translate what's sketch well.

Wanted to share my perspective on medellin travel in last 6 years. First trip was amazing as it was like a kid in the toy store. Made few friends on facebook and by the time it is my 9th or 10th trip I became more hardened. Medellin in general it is easy to pick up grils. I have seen the prices at 150 k cop to now averaged at 300-400 k. I don't go for normal average lot so its usually a little expensive for me.

Couple of girls became my favorites. Oddly one is a 30 year old with a 10 year old daughter but she is a fine and classy lady. One of my friends introduced her to me 4 years ago. I spend over nights with her and last time when I was there she showed me a picture of her friend who is a model material and works as a hair stylist. I did a threesome with them both before I left to airport the next day (they dropped me at the airport). It was hell of a night. In all my trips that was a best threesome so far in 6 years. I have pictures of them but I can't share because of the privacy requested by the girls. Again I am not saying they are not pros. One of them is for sure a pro and she is in the game for a while, but the other one I am not sure. She did not look like a pro by the way she responded during the session (she came thrice that night and I don't think she was faking. There was no need).

I do have girls I pay 250 k right now too. But you get what you pay for.

My advice to new guys is to work through your initial contacts and find the girls they know. Tell them you are discrete and you will not advertise their company. You will gather some contacts over time.

I get it but I really think people don't like us meeting the women who are of age. I'm sure there are locals who engaging these young girls or are putting them out there. Now I know what it feels like to be scapegoat in a foreign country.

These damn pedos are making things more difficult for us regular old perverts. I hope they find someplace else to go now with the pressure being put on them.

Self checkout is my jam! I love it because it is very unpopular with Colombians so you can usually get to one without having to wait.

Depends on the hour, location, etc. Some nice Exitos and Carullas even have self checkout machines.

Two items:

1. The guy who rushed to get in front of me at Carulla, in the 15 items or less line, had probably 40 items (compared to my 6-10). The cashier stopped him and sent him to another line, where several people were already waiting. I've never seen that in the US.

2. Old people in the US also engage in pointless conversations with Cashiers, waitresses and anyone else who they can drag in. I'm an old person, but I'm still not sympathetic to their loneliness.

I can explain without bashing. There are two main reasons the lines move slowly than what gringos are accustomed to. One reason is technology (the lack thereof) and the other reason is culture. You hinted at the technology factor when you mentioned puntos. Exito does the same sort of market research based on collecting buying history from customers as other big retailers. The difference is Exito doesn't have up to date technology that enables customers to quickly swipe a loyalty card to identify themselves. Instead, cashiers have to manually key in the loyalty program number of every single customer both before (puntos) and after (movil Exito) they ring up the purchases. Some customers don't remember their punto or movil Exito numbers, so they have to give the cashier a phone number or cedula number to look it up. When customers redeem coupons or store credit receipts, the cashier has to stop the line and scan them one by one and sometimes call for a manager to complete the transaction. All this takes forever.

The culture factor is the one that is least likely to change anytime soon. Very quickly, the things that cause the line to move slowly that you don't see in developed countries are customers who leave their carts smack in the middle of the small space where people on line behind them need to pass to get their purchases on the checkout belt, people who use the checkout clerk as a price scanner to decide whether they can or want to buiy some or all of the items in their cart, people who decide they don't want some of the items or want different items who then leave the line to look for what they want while everyone else has to wait until they return so the cashier can complete the transaction, on top of all of that most customers will engage the cashier in small talk about the weather, current events, their physical ailments or whatever else that has nothing to do with buying groceries. This is especially true of older customers who sadly don't have much other human interaction. That last one about older people is something you also see with building doormen. The older building residents spend a lot of time socializing with the doormen because they are always available and can't ignore them.

Yes, first guest is free but after you are charged $40 for each additional guest. When you register your girl with reception they will make a copy of her cedula and have her sign a form and you will also sign a from acknowledging you understand you will be charged $40 to your room for each guest after the first free guest.

I'll never understand why the line in Exito always take forever to check out people. Everytime I go, even with people 2 or 3 items in their hand will sometimes takes 30 minutes to check them out. I noticed it takes longer when those people used their "puntos". The cashier looks it up on the computer which take about 10 minutes and additional 1-2 minutes to print the receipt. You will never see that in US LOL.

Now before you bash me, since this forum has so much negativity LOL, I'm not complaining at all. Even waiting on the line for that long, I get to see beautiful paisas, who's most of them on their gym clothes after working out or pre-work out buying groceries. Just had this paisa girl right in front of me who's got a really nice toned body, great shaped ass, a well made tits, nips poking out on her bra, curvy waist and big hips. I'd say she's on her early 30's. About 5'3 height. I'd give her a 7 on the face and 8. 5 on the body. What you describe is very true at some Exito's (I. E. La 70) But I use the exito at the central comercial Viva Laureles or at UniCentro and those Exito's have many more cashiers in place so you can pick a line that isn't going to take so long. Just an idea to consider.
