I'm amazed you couldn't find a vennie, Centro is swarming with them. I'm choosing a chica by looks & vibe not a nationality but usually after I've chosen and then later ask, 90% of them turn out to be vennies. Thanks, another outstanding post Litmus. I've learned more on your last few posts than I ever did in many five to ten consecutive pages on this board. Great info on Poblado and Lleras. You confirmed a few things I thought about the area, but also convinced me why it is worth trying also. Example, I loved all the activity in Centro, sheer number of girls, and ability to be out and about, window shop, and talk to the girls first and get a feel for and with them. But I know you do not want to be out at nor is there much going on. For night time, that is why I stayed in Laureles. It is bustling and safe there. Although lots of girls around, and I am sure some coukd be pulled with lots of effort, most are not out looking or expecting for a transactional hookup. And on a short vacation. I'm not looking for dating and the effort.

It sounds like Poblado has the best of both. With some cons you pointed out.

Colombia seems to have all that I like, it is just much more spread out. I'm coming from the by bygone glory days of Sosua that I once loved. Where you could find it all within walking distance. Daytime action on the beach. Nighttime safe walking to restaurants and bars. Street girls, dance club girls, anything you wanted. Bar girls or bartenders available to takeout, with barfines. Even my favorite, La Passions a mega indoor outdoor strip club that literally had a chica menu, onsite, takeout, shorttime, overnnight. Heaven.

That is all available in Colombia, it is just spread out and takes much more planning so thanks for your help.

I hope what I have added can help others. Having been only once, I tried to share the things I wanted to know about before I went.

Anyway, I think I have found my new destination, I just have to keep learning to make it better and interesting. Thailand, Pattaya. Is still my dream. But from my area on the East Coast with a 20 to 28 hour flight each way at $2 K USD, not on my radar.

With the park under construction the girls post up in front of Moet, up to Calle 10, then along Calle 10 for a couple blocks. I have definitely seen some pretty girls, got some intel on prices and was even propositioned with a thick girls asshole with no upcharge. Definitely a fun time if you like to shop around.

Of the girls I did session with, the bad was 175 K. She also tapped out before I came. And then she would not leave. She wanted to sleep there, and said her ride was gone, and all sorts of stuff. I have not done Gustos, but have been in some of the other clubs, Moet and the other one next to it, before they start asking for a cover charge. Those clubs are LOUD, dark and dry ice smoky. They use stobe lights too (proper club type effects) and the whole thing is just not my scene. Actually, kinda disorienting. Given the volume, I do not know if negotiations for price happen in the club, or what not. Not really my thing (which is why I check it out before they charge the cover) and the girls look much the same in the club or on the street.

I will try Gustos one of these days because I believe in ticking boxes. La Isla was one last time, which I wrote a report about, but it got buried back in September. The TL; DR is "I am glad it is there, will do it again, but in no rush to repeat. Medellin has waaaay to much to offer to stick to just to La Isla. " Which is what I expect my experience at Gustos will be.

Keep in mind, Parque Lleras is a hunting ground and failing you do not find something you like, it is a good people-watching ground. It is a good scene for walking with a 4 K beer and a 1 K cigarette, and not giving too much a shit about anything. The bonus is it goes way late into the morning and stays safe, whereas Centro is supposed to be a No-Go Zone after dark for gringos AND locals. I have been in El Centro well after dusk once and the place died off hard.

I have had the benefit of seeing the park before it underwent reconstruction, and recently with how the everyone had to adjust. It is more fun with the park open, but it is still fun if you branch out and away from Parque Lleras. A note about moving away from the park, my motus operendi is to be respectful when I am not in the tolerance zone, so I do not proposition girls in Provenza and don't gawk at another dude's girl.

I would say you should check it out to form your own opinion. It is definitely a place to monger, but it also a place to just experience.

As for Poblado, it is a nice area, one worth exploring. A pleasant ambiance, descent sightseeing and a river tucked away up a street, which added to my amazement as it felt it brought the jungle right into the city, if even just a sliver. There are also good services available and nice restaurants.

It is on a hill, which I really didn't notice until I started spending more time in and around El Centro, and then returning to Poblado. Not a big deal if you are in ok shape, but you do notice it.

A bummer negative to Poblado is begging has increased in these past couple years. It was ok in 2019, but these past couple trips have been astonishing with how much begging there is now, even kind of aggressive. Between Parque Lleras and the Poblado tram station, expect to be asked 5 times, minimum. And, it is not just the rural Indians with their little children sleeping next to them (whom are actually quite modest and not aggressive), but families of Colombians all working as a big begging unit. I learned to take the back street (calle 9) during the daytime when headed to the tram station.

Pros.

- Safe, energetic night scene.

- A bevy of beaver.

Cons.

- Girls are a bit more pricey and always an iffy experience.

- Tourist magnet, which also draws beggers.

I may try Poblado next time, I may not. Personally to me, Poblado just sounded too much like the way Sosua has gone, and I stopped going there for a reason. It also seemed like I would have more eyes on me and be a target, even though EL Centro is considered far more dangerous and less upscale. Who knows. I may try it and like it much better. But I had a great time, and like you, found some that were very much to my liking and fun. Some can go right ahead and call me a fool for not thinking their different way is the best. Great addition Litmus! Very similar experience to mine, except I was not asked for propina or have dinner with any after. I am glad to have read some positive reports and experiences on el centro also, or I never would have had the great experiences I did there.

My compliments on a good MEDELLIN REPORT. Anecdotal account with heaping mounds of factual, quantifiable information.

To add to the El Centro section, on my trip meet up with a El Centro Vennie, 18 yo, must have been 5'4", had to be no more than 100 lbs. I second this statement and there's also the coffee girls, chicas working at the bars, and girls that work the various restaurants / stores in the area that you can try and pick up. Don't be a sucker and get ripped off at places like Fase II and gustos.

Quick addendum to Part 1 first. Thanks for the advice on stomach issues. I will load up on pepto chewables and priobiotics for next trip. Fortunately, the really bad days were the last one and travel day. Plus it went a few more days back home.

Also, I forgot to mention that if you stay at Hotel Dorado in Laureles, which I do revommend, there are NO safes in the room. 24 hour security guard at door and staff at desk, so it is secure. I only took two girls to my room, but had to do a lot of work to make chica safe.

Now, on to the girls. I pretty much met up with girls three ways; facebook, one prepagos site that advertises (several girls in one house near Laureles) and El Centro. I did not try any strip clubs or casas though I wanted to. Never set foot in Poblado.

Facebook. I won't go over the entire method but I used what I found here. It's been a long time since I've mongered in Medellin, probably three to five years before the pandemic. I had very fond memories of this place and after a long return I've noticed some good changes, but probably mostly bad changes. El Poblado, and in particular the Parque Lleras area is just aweful. The park is under construction, and the restaurants in that area seem to be kind of dead. Looks like everything has moved to the Provenza area which was a pretty cool place to eat and hang out. That area seems to be touristy and more family friendly compared to the Parque Lleras area. This past Sunday night I thought I would gather some intel and walk around the area to understand how much things has changed. Maybe things are better on a Thursday to Saturday, but the area seemed to be busy enough on this Sunday.

First up are the SW girls. The girls seem to be spread out around Calle 10 from about Carrera 40 to about Carrera 37. Around 10-11 PM I would estimate there were a total of 20-30 girls. My personal taste are spinners (like an Eva Longoria back in her Desperate Housewives days), and I saw maybe 4-5 that fit my criteria. A couple of them were 6's, a couple more were 7's, and one was a solid 8. My general cutoff is a 7, but I could do a 6 if there was nothing better around. I didn't session with a single one, but I did chat with all of them to know what was on the menu and the price. First I talked to the 8, and while the plan was to just gather intel only, if the price and service was good I would have taken us both to a chica friendly hotel and done her then and there. The girl was very pretty, with a nice slim figure, and a beautiful face. She was asking for $300 k, which in my mind I was thinking it was a little high for a street walker, but she didn't look like an over used $50 k SW so maybe she was worth it depending on her service. I asked what was on the menu, and sad to report it was just basic SW service with covered everything. For $300 k I expect GFE, CFS, BBBJ, and DFK. So fair, she can charge whatever she feels she is worth and she was IMO the best of the bunch on Calle 10 in terms of looks, but maybe the less pretty spinners would charge something that is a little more reasonable for a SW. To make a long story short, nope they did not. Seems like the going rate for a spinner is $300 k, and the service they were offering was also just basic.

So in regards to SW things are definitely not as good as what they use to be. I remember back in the days it was maybe $150 k on the streets and $300 k in Gusto. Looks like those days are gone, and quite frankly I don't think this is all inflation's fault. A big reason for this huge price increase with a decrease in service has to do with more and more Gringo's coming here. El Poblado always had a lot of gringos, but now there are so many. Over tourism has definitely turned this place into something worse. Cab drivers don't seem to want to turn on their meters instead quoting you double or triple the actual fare price, you get propositioned by some random guys every block or so for not so legal stuff, and you have obnoxious tourists every where acting like they own the place. I wouldn't want to ever come back to the Parque Lleras area for mongering anymore. Maybe just for some people watching and maybe eat in the Provenza area, but for mongering I'm crossing this place off my list of places in the world to go to.

I've also used Photoprepagos a few times in Medellin and the experiences were pretty good living up to what I expected. Did the girls look like their pictures? More or less, they look like 10's in the photos, but in actuality when I met them they are maybe 6's to 7's. I'm hoping to strike gold with one that looks exactly like her pictures. In regards to prices it seems much more reasonable. Most girls asking about $100-$200 k per hour. Most of them also offer GFE for that price with some up charging for BBBJ (seems to be around an extra $80-100 k). If you have similar tastes as me, feel free to PM me for more specific info on the girls themselves. I don't feel like sharing that type of info on this thread, because quite frankly too many people here screws it up for the rest of us.

I've never seen them in Medellin. Best to just order them on Amazon.com and have them delivered to you. I've had great luck using Amazon.com in Medellin and typically things show up before they say they will, and no issues with Customs if the value is less than $ 200 USD.

First I talked to the 8, and while the plan was to just gather intel only, if the price and service was good I would have taken us both to a chica friendly hotel and done her then and there. The girl was very pretty, with a nice slim figure, and a beautiful face. She was asking for $300 k, which in my mind I was thinking it was a little high for a street walker, but she didn't look like an over used $50 k SW so maybe she was worth it depending on her service. I asked what was on the menu, and sad to report it was just basic SW service with covered everything. For $300 k I expect GFE, CFS, BBBJ, and DFK. So fair, she can charge whatever she feels she is worth and she was IMO the best of the bunch on Calle 10 in terms of looks, but maybe the less pretty spinners would charge something that is a little more reasonable for a SW. To make a long story short, nope they did not. Seems like the going rate for a spinner is $300 k, and the service they were offering was also just basic.

So in regards to SW things are definitely not as good as what they use to be. I remember back in the days it was maybe $150 k on the streets and $300 k in Gusto. Looks like those days are gone, and quite frankly I don't think this is all inflation's fault. A big reason for this huge price increase with a decrease in service has to do with more and more Gringo's coming here. El Poblado always had a lot of gringos, but now there are so many. Over tourism has definitely turned this place into something worse. Cab drivers don't seem to want to turn on their meters instead quoting you double or triple the actual fare price, you get propositioned by some random guys every block or so for not so legal stuff, and you have obnoxious tourists every where acting like they own the place. I wouldn't want to ever come back to the Parque Lleras area for mongering anymore. Maybe just for some people watching and maybe eat in the Provenza area, but for mongering I'm crossing this place off my list of places in the world to go to.

I've also used Photoprepagos a few times in Medellin and the experiences were pretty good living up to what I expected. Did the girls look like their pictures? More or less, they look like 10's in the photos, but in actuality when I met them they are maybe 6's to 7's. I'm hoping to strike gold with one that looks exactly like her pictures. In regards to prices it seems much more reasonable. Most girls asking about $100-$200 k per hour. Most of them also offer GFE for that price with some up charging for BBBJ (seems to be around an extra $80-100 k). If you have similar tastes as me, feel free to PM me for more specific info on the girls themselves. I don't feel like sharing that type of info on this thread, because quite frankly too many people here screws it up for the rest of us.
