Well, that answers my question on if the place is girl friendly. I'm staying there during my trip but I don't think I'll be taking any ladies to my room, especially with all killings lately, got to keep my safe spot safe.

Going to probably check out the short stays and casas while I'm down there.

Not exactly, I met her on FB and she told me she was from Manrique, which is right near el Centro, so I thought great I'll be staying in el Centro. So when I got to Medellin I finally contacted her and told her I was in Medellin. We agreed to meet up in El Centro at the Nutibara. While she was traveling to el Centro she even told me she was caught in traffic and would be a few minutes late, so she was quite surprisingly punctual, I thought. So I waited for her down stairs and she text me that she was here. Then I look for her right outside and text back and forth with her then she asks what my room number is. I then realized she was at the front desk and already gave them her ID, which pissed me off because I wanted to see what she look looked like and I could have got her passed the desk with out her signing in and being charged. I asked the hotel clerk what the price was and he said 70 k.

So anyway we head up stairs to my room. So when we get there she was pretty much all business she asks me do I have a condom I said no and and she then quotes me a price of 500 k for sin condom. I thought the "wtf ", is she kidding. I told her this is el Centro and she says oh no I'm not like these el Centro SW ho's. She thought she was a gusto's ho. Believe me! She wasn't. So I got her down to 300 k and I was still a little pissed because I wanted to meet her outside to see how she look in person and if I wanted to be bothered with her in the first place, as well as sort out the details. So as we were getting ready to get down to business I started thinking while I was looking at her somewhat crinkled gut. So obviously I could tell she had a kid and she didn't look like her pictures. Then I came to my senses and though 300 k plus 70 k charge for the room. Right then I walked over to the door, opened it and clearly expressed to her to get out. So she starts whining, as expected, about her transportation expenses, so I hand her a 20 k note and she says "oh it was 40 k" and I tell her she lives close by. Its practically walking distance for some (probably not for a lazy Paisa though). I told her that I was out of 70 k, which I never paid anyways since I kick her out. I think she thought I was staying in Poblado and rented the hotel for our meeting.

This is what I hate about meeting these girls based on photos. You just don't know who or what is going to show up or what you're showing up to.This is where the in person shopping through the Casa's, SW's and even the strip clubs (although it's hard to judge a lot of these girls in the dark) trump the online services. You get to see them without the photoshoping.

They for sure use varones in Argentina, and I have heard mostly lower class women refer to having varones and hembras, but what I mostly heard was varones why nenas. I would just be cautious about using hembra for humans. It's more for cattle and such. Can translate like kunt in some places. Spain in my experience they use hijo and hija and I for sure would not be using hembra to refer to any Spaniard's daughter. Really not anyone's daughter. Maybe someone's ex wife.

You could also fit the mini bar items inside the safe, so your not blinded sided by the bill for these items (that she pocketed without you realizing it) when you check out, but the items are cheap and saves you from leaving and going out and purchasing items, so you can just hang out in your room jaja.

I got a reservation there but I think it's just a queen size room. I want the presidential suite while I'm there but it wasn't available. Anyone know how to check to see if the room becomes available?

I consider the hotel safe as they have a big safe in the room. It is large enough to put your laptop inside it. Of course you still have to be careful. The best bet is with the girl in the room do not drink anything. You still have to watch out if she takes a drink and then attempts to French kiss you. Yes I'm sure about this as many moons ago I was caught like this at Mayorista. I was venerable as I love to French kiss these young and pretty girls.

El Centro hoes charge 40 mil COP ($10 usd) they're not overpriced.

Good day all.

Today is was my first day in Medellin. I'm a solo traveler, and fairly experienced when in comes to new cities and countries. Before arriving in Medellin I consumed this forum and YouTube, trying to make sure I didn't go to wild.

I'll start by giving other first timers tips that worked for me. Firstly, spend the first day / night getting the lay of the land. Absorb the atmosphere of the city, as it's quite intoxicating. Secondly, find yourself a good driver, now just Uber. They will look out for you.

As for what I learned about the girls. Yes, Park Lleras is more 'dangerous' compared to other locals. It's well know in the community. Still worth checking out, it's very cool. I don't have any prices ect.

After that, I went to LA Isla Club, definelty worth the visit. Yes, it's a bit more expensive. I bough a half bottle, and did the math, I spent less on that then I would for drinks on myself. Also, it's a great ice breaker, and you won't be buying any girly drinks. For prices, girls wanted 250-300 $ USD for an all night back at your casa, which I found to be to expensive.

I then checked out the after hours at Luna Lunera, a little pricey to get in the door but there girls only wants $100 for a return to your casa for the night.

As for that, I'll head to bed now, cheers.

Overnight is one thing but that those prices are close to USD short stay prices. I'll be a first timer too soon but I'm getting my spanish to fluency so I can negotiate to a reasonable price, if no then I'm moving on.
