Today is was my first day in Medellin. I'm a solo traveler, and fairly experienced when in comes to new cities and countries. Before arriving in Medellin I consumed this forum and YouTube, trying to make sure I didn't go to wild.

I'll start by giving other first timers tips that worked for me. Firstly, spend the first day / night getting the lay of the land. Absorb the atmosphere of the city, as it's quite intoxicating. Secondly, find yourself a good driver, now just Uber. They will look out for you.

As for what I learned about the girls. Yes, Park Lleras is more 'dangerous' compared to other locals. It's well know in the community. Still worth checking out, it's very cool. I don't have any prices ect.

After that, I went to LA Isla Club, definelty worth the visit. Yes, it's a bit more expensive. I bough a half bottle, and did the math, I spent less on that then I would for drinks on myself. Also, it's a great ice breaker, and you won't be buying any girly drinks. For prices, girls wanted 250-300 $ USD for an all night back at your casa, which I found to be to expensive.

I then checked out the after hours at Luna Lunera, a little pricey to get in the door but there girls only wants $100 for a return to your casa for the night.

As for that, I'll head to bed now, cheers.

Overnight is one thing but that those prices are close to USD short stay prices. I'll be a first timer too soon but I'm getting my spanish to fluency so I can negotiate to a reasonable price, if no then I'm moving on.

Well, that answers my question on if the place is girl friendly. I'm staying there during my trip but I don't think I'll be taking any ladies to my room, especially with all killings lately, got to keep my safe spot safe.

Going to probably check out the short stays and casas while I'm down there.

I totally agree with you. I went twice this year in Medellin. And I was in Hotel Nutiraba. The hotel is cheap which is good in El Centro but it's a very old hotel. But rooms are big and OK. We sleep good but it's not a great hotel. Most a 2* hotel. The breakfast isn't great, it's not a great buffet but for the price of the hotel it's ok!

You can bring girls without any problem during the day till 6 pm. After you have to stay with the same girl! You can't bring more than 1 girl after 6 pm. The staff in the hotel is nice and the guy for the security is very nice too. I remember last time during the brekfast, I saw 2 american men with a nice sexy colombian lady who was 18. She was a pro, she smiled to me when I was on my table during the breakfast but I couldn't speak with her because of her 2 american customers. I was totally obsessed by her and I did 2 pictures very quicky when she was with the american and first time of my life I went after my breakfast meet the security boy at the entrance of the hotel and I was totally direct with him. He asked me to not say to the girl that he gave me her whasapp. Then to say thans to him, I gave him 30 000 pesos and he was very happy.

Then I sent her message on whasapp, I explained her I wanted to spend nice time with her. In 2 minutes she answered me and told me that she was back in her home and she could meet me in my hotel but she was scare to meet the 2 american guys because she has to go with them to San Andres the next day. But I told her to call me when she arrives my hotel. She was really scared so she told me she can only stay with me short time in my room and then she must go see the 2 american men in their room. She asked me 300 mil pesos and it was great time! She went to my room, and she was very happy to meet me, she felt very good with me and stayed with me in my room for more than 3 hours. At the beginning she asked me if I ve some condoms but I say NO that I forgot to buy them. Then she asked me 100 mil pesos more to fuck her bareback and of course she was so sexy that I said YES! We fuck during more than 2 hours, it was great time and she told me she liked me. I wanted she sleeps with me all night but she told me she couldn't because the 2 american men were waiting for her and pay her 1 million pesos everyday to stay with her!

It was great time, and the next day early in the morning I saw her again at the breakfast with the 2 american men and she totally ignore me! LOL.

Then during the day near the hotel in plaza botero, I found nice sexy ladies during the day who came my room during the day for 50 000/100 000 pesos. And in the night I paid more with girls from Facebook I bring to my hotel Nutibara.

Girs don't care about the hotel, the just want the money! So it's not important to pay a big hotel in El Poblado. Girls just want your money thjat's all!

Just reat them good, be respectful with them and they will follow you everywhere you want.

About a Month ago or so two buds and I went to Eros Spa in Laureles and we saw yellow tapes at the door with a policia notice that the facility was closed. Then about two-three weeks ago pretty much right away I noticed there's a new Eros Spa in Belen, walking distance to my apt and I finally visited today. Actually in Latin America, you are supposed to put your used toilet paper in the trash can because they use smaller diameter pvc pipes for the drains and it can't handle flushing the toilet paper down the pipes without getting clogged up alot easier than with the larger pipes used in the US.

This is why you often see small trash cans next to toilets anywhere in Latin America and you may see signs telling you not to throw toilet paper in the toilet "no arrojar papel en el inodoro / sanitario. ".

I don't have much time and I'd look to avoid travel as much as possible. If there are hotels that anyone can recommend (or recommend to avoid) that would put me in the a good spot to walk out the door and into opportunities I would really appreciate it. Trying to maximize my time if that makes sense.

Solo first timers would be best advised to session onsite instead of bringing girls back home. Or to love hotel if you must. Besides reducing the serious risks it will allow you to test the service first before committing time and money (many duds and false advertising in there).
