As I said somewhere else I am in Medellin. Recently I had to leave the city in order to work as counselor in mi workfield. Anyway, I was going to be in a long abstinence so I decided to contact a girl who I had invited just a few days to have a tinto (dark coffee) in a fancy restaurant in La Playa. So I write her an email, she called me and we agreed to meet at el centro early because I had to take a bus at noon.

Although I had treated her very well despite not being a goddess and I told her my idea was we started a very professional yet erotic friendship she stopped answering the phone. The next day she said she was in a personal affair and that she did not answer because I called from unknown numbers etc etc.

The advice is that we must distinguish the professional girls who are getting started in this business because often they are looking for someone to be your boyfriend and go on that promise overnight for 300K pesos and violate any commitment they have.

Sometimes when we try to get fresh meat we have to handle with these disappointments. Fortunately, the area is full of casas de masajes, in this case I ended up in Andromeda. But that's another story.

I have a question for the forums. I joined up with RL since you guys reference it so much. For the guys that have experience with the site? 1) Are the photos pretty accurate, because most of the girl are attractive. 2) are the girls regular girls or prostitutes. 3) I don't want to post my face on a dating site, so will any girls agree to meet with me when I am in Colombia w / o a photo. Any other cliffs notes about the site you want to share would be good.

1) Some of the profiles are fake. Fake in that they are chicas trying to get you to view their webcam site. Other giveaways: If a chica only wants to talk to you via SKYPE (gives her Skype name and not her cell phone number) , she is most likely a scammer. Any chica that is trying to hook up with foreigners for cash (in person) is not going to waste time giving out her Skype screen name unless she is trying to scam a extrajerno with RFM's (Requests for Money). Also, some of the chicas in the photos are much older than the ones on their profiles. The site has really gone down hill over the last year despite the makeover.

My friend recently told me that once your membership expires, your profile is supposed to be converted to a "free member " (read "non-paid subscription") which is supposed to still allow you to browse profiles, but you cannot contact chicas. Instead, your profile is now "locked" to the subscription page, and you will not be able to navigate from this page unless you pay more money (meaning, you will not be able to "look before you buy"). This is a new change which sort or signals desperation on their part. Was not like this before.

2) Not all of them are hooking. I've noticed a lot more older women (30+) joining the site now. Their profiles say they are looking for serious relationships.

3) Vitrea is 100% correct. You will not get any responses without a photo. If you are worried about other male gringos seeing you, then do not friend any chicas on RL. Once you friend a chica, you will show up on her friends list on her page and all the other gringos will see that you have been added. Chicas will still respond to you and message you even if you do not accept their friend request (just don't click "Decline") ; but you are wasting your time if you do not add a photo to your profile.

1) Yes. Most are accurate.

2) Most are prepagos but not all. (BTW, I don't know who coined it but I love the word "prepago" to describe a working girl. More on that in the general section when I have some time)

3) Almost no chance of hooking up with a decent one if you do not post a photo.

If I remember correctly, Loutron was the one with the big gate that closed behind you. Those girls were not happy people and they all had fake boobs. They were pretty but expressionless. I never went with one of them. Its a shame that place wasnt more of a club enviroment where you can mingle and see if you click before going to the room.

You may have point there. When I am there at Lutron, the typical clientele I see is rich, somewhat young Colombians showing up in fancy cars.

A "mansion chica" is an affectionate term for a girl that goes to the Mansion and gets spoiled rotten by gringos.

The Mansion doesn't "control" per se. But when it is a source of income, and you tell them "if you go to the apartments, you can't come here", that is a form of mind control.

There are no guarantees that if they go to the Mansion, they get selected. It is hard to turn down a visit to an apartment for guaranteed money.

All are free to do what they like, its a free world.

All the hotel requests is that guests and invited friends of the hotel have either a passport and or a Colombia Cedula I. D. At entry and conduct themselves in a orderly manner.

100% correct. I don't have the vested interest in the Mansion that Greg does. But some of this is common sense. There are dozens if not hundreds of girls that will come by the Mansion. True, at any one time, there may be 10 or 20 that are more or less "regulars," but there are many more that will only come by every now and then (before their kid's B-day, or before the tuition is due, after they lose a rich boyfriend).

Does anyone seriously think they could control what all these girls do? And even if they wanted to, they would be venturing into pimping, which would invite unwanted attention.

Sure a hot chica might be able to command 150K for a guy in an apartment, but if she went to the Mansion, she could get the same money and meet other prospective clients while she's at it. Fantastic situation all around.

Says he's got soooo many chicas calling him and his staff wanting to be invited to the Mansion.

Over a couple thousand that want in.

Don't think they give a hoot about chicas doing side business.

This makes sense on so many levels. First, the Mansion is a ridiculously good deal for Medellin chicas. 150K for an hour or two, the guys treat them nice, buy them drinks and food and they can hang out in a comfortable, safe atmosphere. And unlike a casa, they can choose who they can be with. Also, unlike a casa, they don't have to worry about a relative or family friend walking into the place. Just a perfect situation for a Paisa that wants to make alot of money on the side with very little risk.

Even if they tried to stop the girls from doing side business, it would be almost impossible to enforce. The situation as it stands is a win-win for both the Mansion and the girls that go there.

Rest looked like hardened pros, are over 24, silicone and not so cute faces. I would still suggest visiting this place if you are a first timer in MDE.
