I will say you should learn at least basic spanish. My mongering improved 100, after I was able to speak spanish and portuguese. I am now about 25% speaking those 2 languages. There is just no replacement for being able to talk to the girls when you interview them, and when you take them to dinner or a disco. Sure, your paying them, but it makes it more GFE and they will come see you again for cheaper. Hell, if you live there for a few months, they might see you for free after a while. Start with the book- Spanish in 10 minutes a day. It will give you the most important words, and from there you can move on to more advanced books.

My first trip to Colombia in 2006, just had the basis, but after deciding to go to DR, in 2010, went on a crash course of Pimslur CD's. And the difference was 1000 percent, not with the Pro's because I am tired of those girls but just the friendliness of going to the store, beach or walking about talking with the people.

4 years ago I decided to only go the Dating site route and whichever city I am going to I join their dating forum and meet the women through these, not for the "quanity" guy who wants the most bang for their buck, but I stay a month now in these countries, and I let the women pick my profile and send a interest and then I write them.

I just returned from Medellin. I did in fact stay at Frank's Place. I hate it when others attempt to speak for me or put words in my mouth. The only thing I want in my mouth is Colombian Pussy. Here is the story, when Frank has nobody staying at his place, he turns the lights off. I just returned. It is clean, very well furnished. Two working bathrooms. One shower with electric heat for hot shower. Very secure. It has wall safes in every room. Flat screen tv and a full kitchen with utensils for cooking. BUT who gives a shit. It is right on the strip. It is safe and convenient to Mayo pussy. Mayo pussy may not be for everyone. I understand that. I personally speak Spanish and have some amignovias to fill my time when I was not hunting mayo pussy. Also had one girl from Fase Dos over and she did not seem offended by the accommodations. So again guys, different strokes for different folks. But Frank's is just fine. If you don't speak Spanish the "gringo" paradise of Parque or Poblado or Centro may be better for you. The restaurants are gringo friendly. Other than Casa Blanca you are still going to have to go to the casas and get the girls.

How many times does this question need to be answered? NO! If you do not have ANY Spanish skills and only a few days (less than two weeks) you are most likely SHIT OUT OF LUCK with non pros! Stay at Casa Blanca; You'll have a great time and be in your comfort zone.

Just returned from a fantastic trip to Medellin. Now if I could just kick this post nasal drip I acquired on the plane home!

I have to say that learning Spanish really pays off. I have these CDs in my car that have been repeating over and over for months. Sitting in traffic has never been more productive. Being able to spend a full day with a chica and even a second date changes the game completely! My Spanish is not great but I can get by. At times, the gringo tax was in full effect, especially during my short stay at CB. But otherwise, with just a little patience and putting forth a good effort, I was shown an unaccountable amount of compassion and generosity. In general, the people are so freaking friendly it makes me sad when I realize how desperate and impatient we gringos act in spite of all the luxuries and conveniences we so blindly take for granted. I think to make a better impression while visiting their country, we just need to slow down a little. I recommend games. Cards, dice, checkers. Whatever you can think of. I found a backgammon board in my apartment! Hours of entertainment, fabulous prizes and limited demand for Spanish vocabulary! Question. Whats the best way to get to and from the major cities. Specifically to CTG from MDE? I know in Peru, plane tickets are a lot less expensive if a local resident buys them. Is this the case in Colombia as well? Post in the forum or PM me. Thanks. It's funny you say that Heat, 'cause I agree with you and it's normally the truth, however, I stumbled upon this chica I met in an obscure casa in Cali, very sweet, and to my surprise, speaks very good english.

She is very low key, humble and we've become friends, her seeing me outside the casa as friends with no money discussed, I just help her as I like.

She's definitely the excpetion, and just has a knack for languages as she learned from books and TV.

Actually is strange for me speaking english in Colombia, but she likes to practice, so with her it's english only.
