Original Viagra may not be available at routine pharmacy stores in India as we prefer more economic brands. You can try Manforce (Mankind pharma) or Instarise (intas pharma) without any prescription at most chemist stores. These are equally good as Viagra.

Thanks for taking the time to write a thoughtful response. I meant what I said, and didn't mean to imply the country was poor. I'm well aware of India's position in the world (I work in technology), and didn't mean any offense. I was recently in Colombia, and while you can certainly spend as much as you'd like there, the best experience of my trip was a beautiful girl I found in a cheap downtown strip club, which cost me all of $20 USD. I'm just curious if similar things can be found in India if you're willing to do a bit of hunting. I imagine this is probably the case. I'm interested in exploring the country outside of the hobby, so I'll probably just go see for myself. If I find anything useful, I'll report.

I am aware you posted last year, but I just read your post. You asked an excellent question and I want to provide broader context.

There are several hurdles to mongering in India: prevailing law, language barriers and middle-men or Pimps.

The cost is high because under the law prostitution is illegal. This means the Pimps or brother owners have to pay bribes to the local Police.

The remainder of the money is shared between the Pimp and the girl based on pre-negotiated percentage.

These places have no concept about customer service so keep your expectations low. Unless you go to a very high end place, most of these places are NOT clean.
The sheets are not changed after each Customer and the floors are dirty.

If I were you, I would look for independent escorts or semi-pro options via social media.

Though my response was marked to you, while drafting the response I also considered the other audiences which visits this forum.

Just to give you some hints: Most of the cities in India has red light areas (RLD) and many of them are running from time of British Raj. You can get much cheaper options below $20 per SOG. Your best bet in any city would be the Rickshaw Drivers / Taxi Drivers who can get you there to the exact location. At the same time you have to be more careful to not to carry extra cash while visiting such places.

Secondly if you can afford to spend more time in hunting you can try your luck in Tier 3 cities or villages. Here you can find more better and genuine options and that too at a low cost.

When I was in my college I remember visiting a place (a village) with my senior. This village had a tribe which use to offer a beautiful date. The service was simply awesome!

Your question is too broad to answer precisely.

One thing you quoted rightly is that India is a large country with lot of poor people and you didn't misquoted it as a poor country like the others generally say. For them- India is the third richest country in the world by purchasing power parity. (Just Google the list of countries by GDP / PPP).

Before trying to answer your real question below are some economics. It changes as the way you look at it.

If you take GDP at exchange value, India is fairly wealthy. If you take it at PPP value, India become even wealthier.

If you take GDP per capita, India become a middle income country. If you take Human Development Index, India a poor country.

If you take the percentage of people living in poverty, India is poorer. If you take the absolute numbers of poor people, India sink to the bottom of the pile.

Each of these numbers are meaningful, depending on what you are measuring and planning.

A country is considered rich or poor based on the buying power of its middle class citizens. Wealth is not evenly distributed in India...
