I just want to warn any newbies travelling to Mumbai from Europe, US, Australia etc that Mumbai International is the worst airport in India for international arrivals and departures.

If you are at all in doubt about times, always book an extra hour to get in (allow three hours before your flight) or out of the airport (allow two hours). Do not expect any short queues (even J class). Do not expect your luggage to arrive quickly (my J class luggage came out last). Expect hostility from all. Expect screening at least six contacts with checkers on departure and three checks on arrival. I was forced to bring out my iPhone 4 and prove it was not new by the security team. Yes, iPhone 4! Do not expect to whiz through customs. Do not expect J class lounge to be clean, have soap in the toilets, have toilet paper, have decent food.

A very depressing airport from a city strangled by its bureaucrats and thieves. Kolkata old airport is better. Not clean, but more orderly. All I can say is it gets better outside the airport, if only that damn monorail would get finished soon.

I waited for nearly 1 hour to get luggage twice, especially gets bad after 12am.

Do not try and pick girls in bars / pubs. Dosen't work that way around here. You got to meet them through common friends and then take them out. Try searching for paying guest accommodation so your flat mates can help you hook up.

Use a good quality and unexpired condoms (expired ones are prone to break easier).

Before the use of condoms, unroll completely and check for any holes / aberrations / etc.

Keep extra condoms (you never know you might end up with a ho and her friend).
