This variant was first discovered in south africa but didn't originate there. No one really knows where it was first started. And by now this virus has spread so much that there is no possibility of it being more in afros than other WGs, the ones with more customers are more risky. Nirvana is probably the most risky place is my guess.

Given that the latest virus scare is from the south African region and a lot of Afros do meet each other for various reasons on a daily basis, aren't they quite dangerous to meet?

IMHO, it is better to avoid them for the time being till the scenario is better.

Did not agree to a video confirmation though and is a concern for me. Reverse image search did not turn up anything. Reviews on MR are great and from folks who have written multiple other reviews of mixed ratings. Planning to take a leap basis this.

African students in India are not really Airline frequent flyers, last checked. Most of them come from Eastern Africa or central Africa, and are poor. They come here on India Govt sponsorship. And as others said, once they come here, if they are genuine students, they go after they finish, or stay back if they indulge in other shit. No need of too much extrapolation.
