Star hotel check-in is very easy, you can check in together, or you check in first and she can join in later given the ID to reception, or in case of no contact check in, you can upload the doc online and show the code and get a keycard.

Start hotels they don't question! Avoid local hotels.

Hotels all seem to have different rules for "guests". Some like to impose "moral attitudes" on customers. Some may allow visitors during the day, but may impose curfews at night.

But generally if you book a double or twin room for two people, you shouldn't have much problem. Large age gap or not, if she is an adult you won't have a problem in star hotels. They have guests like us all the days and don't really care as long as you provide the ID. I have taken north east to Russian chicks in Hyderabad, chennai and no one really bothered.
