Tried the kasturi nagar branch of this spa. It's on the ORR in the top floor of a hotel. The spa is clean and rooms are good. They have around 3-4 girls of which most are NE. I was asking on a general basis, what to do if a girl (who you have fair reason to believe is a scamster) creates a scene inside the room, either to extort money from you or to leave the room immediatelty after upfront payment of cash. Only the OP can confirm but I assumed since such a senior mongerer like him did shell out a huge amount, the blackmailers indeed would have shown some proof of the girl being a minor. In fact if they are any good, they would atleast forge enough documents to prove she is under age. And in that high tense situation they can saw enough doubts in the customers mind to panic them, assuming the girl looks somewhat young.

If you are sure she is not a minor, legally you are on a firm wicket. Prostitution or paying for sex is not illegal in India. They can only charge you some very weak sections, that too if they can prove this happened within 200 m of a public place like a school or a hospital. And even then it is a minor offense that can lead to some fine and worst case 3 months imprisonment. 99% of cases, police won't charge you unless you are caught in the open etc. This prostitution being a big crime is often coming from movie scenes of raid etc, which is not really true. No police is going to barge in to your room and arrest you if you and the girl are alone in your room. Atleast not in big cities. Of course going to or running a brothel is a bigger crime and it is under these sections they raid spas.

But I suppose most people pay up not because of the legal issues, but due to reputational issues. How you handle that is purely dependent on how much reputational risk you have (for eg. Are you in your home town Vs you are visiting a place on work) and how much is the money demanded valuable to you.

Golden rule of mongering is to avoid paying upfront, but I see why sometimes people don't follow that. I have been cheated before where a girl agreed for a full night for a certain amount, did a couple of hours, took the money and left. In such cases, I also just wanted to get rid of this, the money was not worth fighting her for.

Not a lawyer, but as much as I understand, legally there is no way out if she is indeed a minor. The new POSCO act is very stringent and likely chance is you will get jail sentance if caught.

However, there is some merit in holding your ground if you can. Because her handlers (no minor is doing this alone without a set of handlers operating in the background), will never let it go to cops or court. They themselves will be punished as much if not more, for forcing a minor to prostitution.

This could also happen if one just gets a room in a hotel for this activity. You are checking in with your real ID in any case. The only thing I can think of in these situation is to ask the girl to go outside of one's place / hotel at the pretext of going to the cash machine may allow us to escape. This has to be done as soon as the demand is made so to not raise any suspicion. As others have pointed out, not having much more than what one needs to pay is also a great idea and possibly never having the ability to make an electronic transfer will help too (have a separate phone with none of your personal information for this purpose). On the positive side, at least you didn't have a wife there to deal with. Clearly, there is no way to be 100% safe in this business.
