Yes. Pimps expect some amount for their services even if you do not like their selection. If you are unlucky, they will make you pay the full amount, even if you decide not to go in for a session.

Independents charge 1-2k for meeting, which you need to hand over in advance, even if you decide not to go ahead. The lady I met yesterday mentioned the same thing, as she gets a lot of emails from casual fun-seekers who do not have the budget for her services, but want to pass time by meeting her.
