Since when Aadhar became mandatory for hotel check-in? Am I missing something?

I know people desperately give away Aadhar for ID proof, as if they get some reward points on using it. I have been using my DL for ID proof, faking, malformimg them so that they get little different ID number, name looks circumstantial.

Only once one stupid Hotel guy went behind me for Aadhar, to which I told I am an Advocate and I can file a case against you for forcing to give away my Aadhar. When I showed him Court records from supreme court site, he relented.

You are correct, Adhaar is not mandatory, but many people use this. I use a masked Adhaar.

Aadhaar data was being sold for ₹500 in 2018. Also, locking our social media accounts is not the solution. We need branding and visibility to further our careers. I choose the path of least resistance.

If you read this news report, the Adhaar Data access was given by the govt. Itself for Adhaar distribution purpose. These people used that data for illegal purpose. This happened in 2018. And nowadays people are getting their Adhaar done through post offices and banks. So this issue may not crop up again I hope so. If you are still concerned, you should try using masked Adhaar for better safety or virtual Adhaar.

Looking at the photos, I WhatsApp this person. She spoke very sweetly on WhatsApp.

Guys this is a recent scam happening all over India.

These people are getting numbers from some SPA or some hotels which we visit often and they start to blackmail by saying that I will come to your place.

Don't fall under this trap.

The same thing happened to me recently but I was aware thanks to the earlier reports.

Block the number immediately and report it and stay safe.

I think LE are primarily raiding spas only right now and that too in some areas only. But you need to be cautious regarding timing when you visit spas. Since if you visit at unusual times, then chances are less. Better to avoid for few weeks I would suggest. Afros are safe to visit as of now I haven't heard any news of raid in any afro premises so far. I haven't visited any of the afros as mentioned but from FRs so far they seem to be VFM and safe.

Yes have tried. The massage quality was really good the both times I had gone. The masseuse during first visit was also quite cute. Forgot her name though. No extras. I casually asked them also if people come here asking for extras. The therapist told that they are instructed to immediately end the massage in case that happens and also report to management.
