I was a member of SA, and I found the girls to be very money hungry, ex. 10-25 K simply to meet them! There have been some mongers who have found gems, using SA, but it required a great deal of time and money! I am also a Tamil, but NRI, and I occasionally visit Mumbai. As a rule, I have certain checklists before I share a contact to a member on the forum.

1) Number and genuineness of the posts by the member:

I refrain from sharing any info to those whose contributions are too less and those FRs which seem fabricated or copied from elsewhere.

2) Duration of membership:

The usual scamsters are those who have joined the forum recently and try to collect contacts in a short time. I agree that there are many seniors who do the same to 'sell' it elsewhere, but let's keep that out from this discussion.

3) Quality of FRs.

Those with only posts which are entirely about requesting contacts or info is a big no for me. To gain something from the forum, reciprocal contribution is not a big thing to ask for!

There may be a lot of genuine newbies who are in the forum, but I guess it has to be the hard way. I am trying to protect myself and to protect the forum in general.

On the other hand, as long as I find the member genuine, I have shared generously. I may not find many takers or supporters to this, but my argument with this is that, this forum has given me a parallel life, so I have an obligation to protect it as well.

I had known the first day I read the post that this Simmi is fake and a created version because the hotel is LE Meridien in Delhi and the lady looks dressed for a conference or something. Until now I had a suspicion that some opportunistic rogues take advantage and use Mirv's name in their FR conclusions for their own petty benefits. I had recently discovered a sinister pattern in play. The same flight meals are being rotated only among a select few. Mirv, undoubtedly is highly respected, most sought after, benevolent, acclaimed, gem of a monger to have graced the Mumbai forum of-late. Our petty finds pales in comparison to his absolutely breathtaking VFM gems! Even I'm one among those hopeful few who diligently try to PM him everyday in the dream that one day I would get the golden opportunity to taste his flock of birds, but this point shook me up!

For PM either you need a subscription or be a member for 6 months and have 25 posts. Inspecting at MyDesk 's profile it seems like the account was barely started a few weeks ago and 25 posts were hammered down in no time. It's highly unlikely that a subscription has been bought and hence the PM is inactive. Sharing info over the forum is outright banned, then how did Sina's info change hands? Magic? What breaks my heart even more is Mirv's response of gratitude to the profile whose PM is inactive and non-functional! I admired him so much. I'm at loss of words right now and I really don't know whom to believe nor how deep the rabbit hole goes. I always reason out with facts and it's up-to the readers of the forum to decide for themselves, what or who to believe in. The world ain't all rainbows and sunshine. It's high time people realize; all that glitters is not gold. We should stop letting our dicks take control over our senses and must not fall prey to booby traps.
