A short FR for anyone curious about this area. I might visit other bars in the area during the next few weeks.

I have been visiting DBs for 10 years now and some of my comments may reflect my opinion that things were much better back then.

Layout

The hall is large and has only two thick pillars in the center. No other obstructions. Sofas are laid out along the sides, and there are two rows of restaurant-style sofa-tables in the middle. In the center are a few tables with chairs (coffee bar tables) around the pillars.

Music

The music system is good but it's far too loud for anyone's comfort. I guess being drunk helps a bit. The current orchestra has good musicians but only 2-3 good singers out of some 7 singers on and around the stage. It was obvious that some of the girls on stage were looking for action. But be careful, and take the help of staff if you really want to go down that road. Not all of them are (easily) available. I would guess there is an inverse relationship between their singing ability and their likelihood of taking up an offer on the first meeting.

Staff

Each table is attended by a waiter and steward. Table assignments are rotated at some frequency that I am not aware of, so if you make a friend in the staff, be sure to look for them and not the table you were at the previous time. This is common among DBs and even restaurants but I'm putting it out there for people who aren't entirely familiar with the system.

The staff is pretty decent, although there are some who will hang around like crows every time you fish out your wallet. They do not get any salaries, and work only for tips. I have found that the older stewards tend to be less 'sticky' and are more easily willing to settle for what you hand out. I tend to tip the waiter more than the steward, but this can get the waiters in trouble. It's easiest to do this by including the tip for the waiter in the bill payment and handing over the cash to the waiter. Not in the bill wallet.

Girls

I cannot get there before 8PM. At that time there are around 15-20 girls, of which only one could possibly rate higher than 7/10. And she had all the attention. Closing thoughts

It is a friendly place to be at, but those interested only in p4p may find options inadequate, and uneconomical. Beers cost Rs. 250-300. There are many regular customers who tend to take up all the time and attention of the few girls who are truly attractive. Some friends had told me that this is a Space Garden reboot, but I have not seen this. Maybe 8PM is too late?
