I will be in Bombay for early January, am staying at the Sheraton Hotel. This is my first time in Bombay, I researched the posts and have a few questions:
Is the Sheraton Lady Friendly?

To all the newbies out here looking for action in south bombay.....it is getting more and more dangerous to venture alone in these places.

If you are new to the area, you would be forced to sit up in the room and pay for the girl, even if you don't like it.....these places have only one route to enter and are up in the storeys..you would be at the mercy of the pimp and his lukka goons to get you out of the place.

There is no threat to your life as such, if you don't provoke them..but you will have an unpleasent experience and would loose your money.

Better to be in a company if it is your first time and when you establise the place..you could go alone....

Here is how you can get to Riya:

From the congress house entrace, walk along toutside of the building towards the Kennedy bridge (don't enter into Congress house).

Go aroud the corner in the lane between the building and the bridge (this lane leads towards the Opera house junction).

A few feet before the opening under the Kennedy bridge (which is used for crossing under the bridge to the other side) look on your LEFT, you will see a flight of stairs going up the building. While on a recent visit to Mumbai, I decided to visit the stores around Lamington Road to purchase some computer accessories. I happened to be with this friend with whom I had mongered every evening (for two years) nearly 10 years ago. (We both live in the USA now).
