First thing is you should do video call with the girl before making payment as a result you know that person is real. Many time they use old picture from net and use as bait. Never share your real FB or Instagram account, they can blackmail you to contact your family with communication you had.

Never pay money upfront unless you feel its a genuine case.

Sorry to know you faced this, but time and again it is mentioned in the forum that any advance is to be strictly avoided. Even if it's a small amount.

Regarding the followers on Instagram and FB, it's very easy nowadays dude to generate fake followers. 705 fake followers can be generated easily.

Be careful of any advance payment and honey traps.
