Here the main mistake is the show of money, had you stood your ground I am sure they would have no option but leave you. I too was caught when I went there alone, since I know the local language I started talking to the girls who caught me and told them that I was just passing by and I live in bk pal avenue so I am a parar chele so if you mess with me I will go back and bring my folks. It is just a threat. They saw that I am not afraid of them and instead I am angry on them. They realised and left me. So it all depends how you handle the situation. If you offer money your position weakens a lot.

This is an eyeopener for all, specially for newbies in SG. Thus my suggestion is always stick to the basics. You may have years of mongering experience but for SG its better to go with a pimp. This the spot is really dangerous. One day I'm going with my pimp to 10 no. Suddenly a SW tried to pull my shirt. Then my pimp scolded them and we got free. So beware while visiting ganga jamuna, dream house or Nilkamal. Actually you should avoid the lane before exide showroom (there is a kolkata corporation labour quarter, its a red building). There are 2 good entry points.

1) If you coming from Shovabazar metro towards Girish Park then you will see a newly built bus stop. Its just opposite of Axis bank. Beside of this bus stop there is a lane. Follow it and take left turn. You'll see a United Bank of India ATM. Go straight and after 2/3 feet you will see Prem Bandhan on your left.

2) If you are coming from Girish park towards Shovabazar, after crossing beadon street crossing, there is a nursing home. Just after the nursing home, there is a swirls icecream parlor. Beside the ice cream parlor there is a lane which will lead you straight to 10 no, the best building in SG, full of Agrawalis.
