I am not from Calcutta. But I looked up the map. I found two major rds connecting cotton street and MG Road, CA Road and Rabindra Sarani. Can you please tell is it one of these or some other lane? I know which lane you're talking about because I've been there once in Thakur Mahal years ago. I know the direction still but I never explored the lane. So if you can name the MP or anything like board colour of MP's name plate or like Entry gate of MP, it would be of great help since I don't want to make the mistake of entering the other MP as you said there are two MP in the lane mate.

I have been to Sonagachi many times but first let me report my first experience.
