Average price varies according to:

1. Mode of access. Indie / MP / Spa / RLD (SG). SG has tiered rates according to buildings, ranging from 1. 2 k to 3.2 k. Not considering outliers like 5.2 k as some girls ask. MP / Spa whatever you are able to bargain down, again range in 2.5 k to 5 k in addition to counter charges (2.5 K). Never tried indie.

2. Time of the day. SG begins to peak after 6 PM /7 PM and peters off after 1-2 AM. MP / Spa best deals if you go there just before the closing hours I. E. Around 8 PM as they close by 9 PM or 10 PM. I once wandered off there at 2 AM, girls were desperate to close a deal, and was able to bargain down a 20 K LT (night) to 12 K. Same if you go in early afternoon.

3. Time of the year. Any serious monger should stay away during festival seasons, new year eve etc.

Now my observations. I came to Kolkata in 2010 and I used to see SG premium building rates around 1.5 k to 2.1 k.

1.5 k steadily climbed to 2.1 k, 2.6 k and then it seems to have stabilized at 3.2 k. This what I have been paying for the last 3 years in premium buildings. 3.2 k. Prices have stabilized.

Keep this in mind and I'll help you connect the dots.

In last 2-3 years MP / Spas have literally mushroomed. I was just counting the other day, 8 of them within 2 KM radius from my office in Landsdowne.

Some 12 of them in Salt Lake. You or me won't have to be a genius to guess their main business driver.

Did you see the correlation? Spa / MP market seems to be having a price pressure on SG premium segment. This what I have corroborated first hand in SG, pimps and girls alike complaining of bad market.
