until this week, while i have been a mongerer (abroad and now also in ncr thanks to some senior members on the forum) , i have always been a 'safe' player, ie once i knew a sure thing, then i would not experiment. for eg. until p & r left for home, i went to the mpur spa four times in two months (i only posted two frs because it was becoming repetitive).

i commend those of you bold enough to be venturing out in this bone (are) chilling weather!

during my last trip to delhi, shortage of time forced me to again go to gk-1 for my customary 90 min massage and hj, once again postponing my much awaited visit to the famous m' pur spa and then before i got to make my next trip was swamped with so many negative reports about lowering of standards at the m'pur spa, that i was once again left with no choice but to again go to gk-1 (shortage of time is always an issue with me ).

when i reached my gk-1 spa in the morning, i was told that only two therapists were present and both were busy with sessions and it would take some time. i was considering going some place else but was engaging with my usual chit chat about me the quality of the massage being most important and that youth, beauty and color, shape of the girl was not important for me. while i was saying this the counter girl suddenly looked up and said ' let me see '. she went inside and after few minutes came back and said " there is a lady with us who is a real expert in massage but she had more or less retired and now only looked after the administration of the spa but when i told her about your preference for a real expert she is ready to attend to you ".

naturally i agreed and was shown to my room and put on the normal gown and undies. a few minutes later a lady came in. i know you guys will consider me crazy but to each his own. the lady was slim, from the ne with an unpronounceable name and at least 60 years old and very friendly. you guys may laugh but i was turned on.

it looks like destiny does not allow me to go anywhere other than my regular gk-1 mp when in delhi.

after the last time when i was forced to once again visit gk-1 due to lack of time, i was determined to next time without fail visit the famous m'pur spa.

ironically immediately after taking the decision, was swamped by so many negative reports about the said spa going totally bad in all respects and so once again changed my decision and ended up at gk-1.

as my visits to delhi are short and cannot afford any misses, once again inspite of my determination to experience new places, ended up at gk-1. but my fr this time is different.

after entering the spa and the usual inquiries, was informed that only two therapists are available and both were busy (i had gone in the morning ). i hate to wait and was considering going somewhere else but was giving my normal talk to the counter girls that what i preferred was a good experienced masseuse irrespective of age, beauty and colour of the therapist i. e that young and pretty did not count much with me. suddenly she lifted her face and told me that if this is the case we may have someone who is an expert but who rarely gives service nowadays but who was now looking after the administrative of the spa. she went inside and came back and said she has kindly consented and i could proceed to the massage room.

after i had entered the room and put on the gown a lady present entered and my heart starting beating hard.

this lady was about 60 (i have not seen in delhi any masseuse in delhi above 30) , slim and with a freindly smile.

Desperate or some action I called up a few providers through the leading paper and one of them offered Russians and Indians for 5k for two shots. Short listed this one mostly due to availability of Russian and decent deal and ended up at bikaji next to the big hotel. He sent a chap and asked for money to be given and to wait for him at the lobby as he has the accommodation in the hotel. I resisted and should have walke out but Jhonny wanted Russians an against better judgement ended up giving the money and waiting at the lobby. Looking at every guy Hopefully to be my saviour took me three minutes to realise when my calls were disconnected. Money lost, lesson leaned, proved to be an idiot.

Exact same thing happened to me in Delhi. This was a girls talking nicely and she was very convincing and I like an idiot handed here the money before seeing the girl. She asked me the wait in my room and that the girl will show up in room. Like an idiot I waited. Later calls were never picked up.

Lesson learnt. NEVER pay upfront!
