Ask your doctor to change the medicine with less side effects. If your doctor doesn't provide one, go to another doctor.

Yes, if she is going to stay overnight, for a long duration, or if you are going to receive different guests during the course of your stay. Informing the frontdesk avoids embarrasment and improves your security. Aerocity hotels have seen it all and no one will bother you and your guest (s) when there is no cause for concern. Book double occupancy.

Will they need an ID?

Yes, moreso if she will stay overnight or long time. Hotels are authorized by law to verify the identity of any visitor, even when you have booked double occupancy and she stays for a short duration only. You can bypass the ID check if you meet her at an in-house restaurant or cafe and accompany her to your room from there. However, be prepared to show a ID if asked, though unlikely.

Do I need to go down to the lobby to escort her or can she simply just come up to my room (I know some places require you to swipe your card in the lift)?

5 star hotels in Aerocity need a key card to operate the lifts. If she can checkin as the co-occupant of your room, you can instruct the frontdesk to give her a key card to let herself up to your room.

I agree. The only reason I go sometimes because the SP has become a great friend. And frankly 'yaaron ka yaar' type guy. The birds he gets are mostly MILFs who are mentally pretty off sex. But sometimes one hits a jackpot.

Well I was at your place once and than eventually and thankfully grown up now in this scene. Tried sps, indi and sp afterwards without any shame or fear. But took couple of years to cope that walk of shame.

Went to jw Marriott and told them guest is arriving later. Booked s class to airport to receive her and they dint asked any ID, straight welcome. Once you have key, avoid reception and go straightway to lift lobby.
