Thanks. But I don't travel with FX. I was amazed this last trip how common CC facilities have now become. I use Wise and for six weeks, I think I only used about 5 jt in cash. Everything else was on the card: Grab, meals, shopping, entertainment, everything. That was a family friendly holiday though, no mongering.

I didn't have any issues with fraudulent or extra charges.

Sorry, I'm waaay too old for that shit now. 😭. The last 24 hour party zone I went to was Stadium so that gives you an idea of my vintage.

A quick google of "Jakarta 24 HR discos" gives multiple examples in Kota and Jaksel. Whether they are good, bad or indifferent you will have to ask others. Don't expect high end roof top bars. More a gazillion kids, chemically fuelled to party the weekend away.

Why do people come to ISG? What is the main reason why ISG gained popularity in all these years?

I was using CIMB with Wise and 3 million. Other machines were 1. 25 million max. Crazy. Wouldn't even last any serious monger til 7 pm.

You can make multiple withdrawals from the same ATM. If the 'limit' is 1.25 million you can withdraw that amount several times in row. Makes little sense but that's the way it is.

I have a different method, thanks to having a local friend. She very much welcomes USD and Euro's. So she tops up her BCA card with a generous amount in Rupiahs. I use that card during my stay and before leaving Jakarta, using XE, we translate the amount that I have used and give her the EURO or USD banknotes.
