In relation to getting laid in MDE, obviously there are more than a few kinds of women to interact with.

There are many that have it in their mind that they don't want to do it but believe she has no other choice and no amount of money or charm is going to make her like you. Luckily, they are fairly easy to identify but perhaps less easy to walk away from. You just have to do it. IMO personality is the most important feature in any person. Hygene a close second. Haha. No, seriously!

In contrast, I have found that a large population, although not engaged in their ideal profession, want you to have a good time and understand what to do to make that happen. After all, it's really not that difficult to figure out. With these "types," give them a little polite conversation, a playful "prove it to me" attitude and the chemistry has a knack of kicking in big time! If you just exchange #'s without actually interacting, they already know they got you and lose their motivation. Besides! Why would you do that with sooooo many options? You may be a monger but is looking like one at all to your advantage? C'mon guys learn a few extra Spanish verbs and be amazed at how much you can make these girls laugh and how much more fun it is.

I have found this to be true of the MM girls as well as in clubs and Mayorista. Speaking of which, is Mayorista a unique spot in MDE? I thought the sit down, casual atmosphere was fantastic. I heard rumor of someplace similar with lots of bars and clubs in Sabaneta but never ventured out that way. Anybody have info on that?

I have been having 'highly average' experiences with well known girls, so it's nice to be able to post something more positive about my experience in Medellin.

I chatted online with this girl, let's call her 'j', for 2 weeks or more before finally arranging a meeting with her at a coffee shop. Her online photo is spectacular, and odds are you have seen her photo. She's not quite so hot in person, but the photos is real and she has a rack that is second to none. She has a few extra pounds, but she looks good and is a woman, not one of the skinny kids that seem to be everywhere.

We had a great chat and I thought she was looking only for a serious relationship, but she flirted a bit and when I told her I had been with a prepago from the same website she said 'why did you do that? What's wrong with me? ' and I took that to mean she would be open to an arrangement, even though she really wanted a serious relationship.

We made plans to go out to dinner a few days later, but then I met a really great girl so I told 'j' that I had met a girl who I really liked and she wanted me to only see her, and I was going to stick with that.

'j' said: 'ok, but I won't tell anybody if you still want to go out' so then I really saw she was open to some fun. The girl I liked cancelled one date, then another, so I said fuck it and called j.

We just went out and had a nice dinner, a few drinks, during which I mentioned I had a sore neck from the crappy pillows in my apt. She offered a massage.

I asked for the check and off we went.

By the way, she was dressed 'impecable' as she told me she always is. This is not a barrio girl, but she's not a model type either, more like a down to earth girl who has a killer body. She'd probably play in the lingerie football league.

Anyway, that's the best time I have had in Medellin by far. I'm not one for details, but this was a true GFE. She was amazing. At no time did she mention $$, before, during or after. I slipped her a handful of bills as she left. Which she thanked me for without looking at.

I realize this isn't much of a report, but what I am thinking is, if any of you guys are into a real woman, not one of these young kids, I will ask j if she is interested in meeting you. She may or may not be, so no promises.

And be warned in advance, she is not an all out 'pro'. She told me she was at a mansion party once, thrown by the RL site, and she was appalled. Guys were handing her their cellphones to get her number and she was insulted.

She told me if they had had any class at all and actually talked to her first, she might have been interested.

So if you want to see her, you'll need to be a bit more discrete and gentlemanly. Otherwise, forget it, she'll walk out on you, as she told me she had done on several dates. But play your cards right and you will have a fabulous time like I just did.

Some gangs settled their score in Lima this morning. The Colombian citizen Sergio Luis Alvarez Acosta was riding his bicycle when he was shot in the back of his head by another cyclist. The killer escaped in a red car that was waiting for him after abandoning the weapon at the crime scene. The victim died a few minutes later in the Good Hope clinique of Miraflores. Lima, Peru. 22/02/2010.

That is a very old story! I actually was walking my dog (when the dude passed me on his bike) and was shot after he turned a corner.

I saw this on the news last night and know a lot of guys who rent apartments on that block. They showed pictures of a 35-45 ish naked guy (in good shape) lying face up by the dining room table.

If the purpose of your trip is only sleeping, drinking alcool and mongering, than CTG is too expensive *just for that. You can stay in MDE and limit your walks to the route between hotel and casas.

In all other cases, missing to visit Cartagena would be a real shame. CTG is a wonderful place and the Centro itself is one of the Unesco World Heritage sites. Yes, more expensive, but my suggestions are:

- You can stay in a nice hotel of the Centro, enjoying the atmosphere and still playing at night. I spend 80-100 USD / day for a cozy hotelito, where I do not bring girls. Decent places are available for less.

- You can eat very good food for 50USD in a good restaurant in the Centro (not top notch). Spend less if you are ok with plain food.

- Plan 200k COP for a good girl. Save your money for the girls and do not drink more than 1-2 (but they cost 10k-15k, not so much).

- Avoid to spend your day drinking on Playa Hollywood. It's a waste of time and money (unless you don't want to spend your budget for a good seafood dinner in cocktails and not much more)

I would go to CTG for minimum 3 days. Read my FR on the CTG forum for details about my way of enjoying CTG.

(Just my very personal opinion, of course. Lots of people in this forum will disagree)

I as well am a tourist come monger and would never travel to the Ramada Inn next to Newark Airport just because there is cheap pussy, sorry.

Going to Cartagena is a great thing to do and I recommend it as there is a variety in places, restuarants and prices and if you need to be on a budget and lay low one or two days there is that option as well.

There seems to be two types of audience here - very budget oriented, not into much else besides cheap pussy, when they were younger the most important part about their vacation was that the hotel had HBO as an option on the cable TV. A lot of these guys discovered cheap putas overseas are not much into anything else.

But there are guys who want to do other things besides make up for lost time and destination that include putas is the icing on the cake.

For me, going to vacation spots that have the puta option is on the same checklist as "beach" has a few "decent restuarants".

I would never go to Medellin on vacation for a week. Beach? No, Good food? No. To me it makes no sense. But I am not on a super tight budget where the only thing that matters to me is some casa ho I can get for 15 bucks. I'm not that desperate. Yet.

Cartagena is nice and for a more quiet backwater but nicer beaches Santa Marta.

Thanks for all the advice about Cartagena. I'm booking a flight there and staying for a few days. My Spanish teacher is from Colombia and suggested Santa Marta. She said the beaches are nicer, but that I should avoid Centro at night because there are lots of "prostitutas", which immediately caught my attention.

I'm not on a backpacker budget, but did not plan on spending $500 a day either (but I can if I have to). I'm staying at MM the first few days to get my bearings. If it is still fun there, I might stay longer-if they have room. I like the model types but have fun at the strip bars, casitas, and with s / w's too.

I'm more of a tourist that likes to monger. I received lots of shit from Nibu Raphael when I left the chicas in Lima to go to Machu Picchu and when I left the fine pussy in Buenos Aires to go to Patagonia for a week.

If anyone is around in early April and wants to hook up for some fun, let me know. Thanks again for your help.
