There's a brothel near the Surin railway station?

Yes. A smallish one. Actually, it's one little house with probably not more than 5 girls working there (and they alternatively look for customers at the railway station nearby). The price was 300 baht ST the last time I visited this place (in one previous report, I said that I paid 500 baht, but that included the 200 baht tip that I gave to my provider who was an enthusiastic 3-holer).

I happened to be meeting someone from a train at Buriram just 1 hour ago. The train was late and I was there nearly 45 mins. As usual, not a single girl in sight.

After 7pm they are there. Not during daylight hours.

You have to remember, Bumholes (and it would behoove other readers to be aware) that Freeler is a man of optimistic outlook, who often sees a wealth of options where others can't find much, or much of interest, or at least at the astonishing price he quotes.

I followed in the great man's footsteps through Korat, Buriram, Surin, and SiSaket (my reports can be found on ISG, now around 5 years old) , and while I had a more or less pleasant time on a very meager budget, I can't say that the girls were my cup of tea or that I've been tempted to try it again; nor can I say I matched his achievement on prices.

The whole scene, if you can call it that, in Ubon is based in hotel massage parlours. Not my thing.

In my opinion, by far the best thing in Ubon is that songthaew, that goes from the RWS all the way to the bus terminal (and VV of course) , many miles away, where you can board a bus to better places.

You might also find some streetwalkers near the railway station during night time, I suppose, because it's not unusual in those areas (that's the case in Surin, for instance).

Train station is about 5kms outside Ubon, you can reach the place by songthaw during the day, the place is not very busy. But I never see signs of girls activity around the train station (like in khorat). But maybe I was blind?
