D Cup was asking about bars on the island of Mactan,"near the airport". I want to elaborate on the info from Henryv's reply.

In one post Henry mentioned AirForce One, I think that is in Metro Manila. LIza's fun pub is in Mandaue (Cebu island) , not on the island of Mactan. I've never heard of Golden Cadillac, but Cadillac Cafe (was on Mactan) closed it's doors a few years ago. If it has reopened, I haven't hear anything. Tarzan Boy is a gay bar.

There are a number of bars in Lapu Lapu City (near the Airport) , Tarzan, Golden Cadilac, I think Liza's fun bar is over that way.

The Mermaid is probably the best bar in Lapu, although it gets a lot of East Asian guests. If you don't mind a ten min. Walk, just turn left as you exit the hotel. Cross the busy road which leads onto the bridge. It's not too far after that on the left. I haven't been there in a few years, but I recall that barfines are high. There are other bars on the same street but quality can be spotty. X.

Thinking about going to Batam, here is the "help" I got from this guy:

Batam is one hour by ferry from Singapore from the airport you can take a taxi which is costly or you can take.

The MRT (mass rapid transport) and drop of at the harbour front station and walk to to ferry terminal which is in.

There are 3 ferrries operators going to batam so there is a ferry leaving every half hour.

In batam like in all countries there are alot of hustlers never mind just take a taxi choose a hotel you want to stay.

Try to find one in NOGOYA TOWN I suggest you stay at farmosa hotel which about is a3 star hotel and right in the.

Center of town from here there a lot of fuck joint on your left when you come out from the hotel there is one call.

QUEENS and another call DYNASTY.

Better still take a taxi from the hotel and ask the driver to bring you all the fuck joints he will gladly show you

As he gets a commission.

Be advised that Mango Park Hotel has unscrupulous management whereas an ISG member got his cash stash pinched out of his safety deposit box if I remember correctly.

If you want to start drinking in a girlie bar before 8pm, you probably want to be near Silver Dollar. I like Holiday Plaza hotel, but "good" is debatable. The tallest building in Cebu is just a stone throw from Silver dollar and it happens to be a hotel, but the name escapes me. Someone on this board will tell you the name, or just search for "tallest, cebu".

Also very near the silver dollar is the Midtown Hotel. It is on top of a smallish mall so if you want to walk to your destinations, both carnal and otherwise, you will have many options. If you RTFF, you'll find that many don't like this hotel. Just two minutes from the Holiday Plaza, which I mentioned earlier. From the two hotels I mentioned, you have about a ten minute walk to the Mango street bars.

In the end you want to find yourself at the Mango Street bars and the few bars that are near there, Lone Star (near Hana hotel) , Temptations. I think some would recommend the Mango Hotel, but I wouldn't.

There are a lot of other options. Years ago I made a rough map. But can't seem to find it at the moment. Hope you enjoy the fishing. X.

Stayed there a couple of times with my wife, had a family feel about it. A monger might feel out of his element there.

Raja on Osmena Circle is also nice. Includes what I believe is a great breakfast buffet.

Diplomat Hotel is right around the corner from Silver Dollar, too. I stayed there and it was ok. It is GF, of course.
