You can deal with them when they are outside the casa. You may have to wait for a future trip when they no longer work at the casa or when they are away from the casa. Generally speaking, many don't have free time during the day when they are living at the casa. Indeed Gagoo was getting lots of love from the ladies, they thought I was his Dominican guide LOL. I thought Satin Dolls was owned by the same person who owns Girls House so I refused to spend any money there after they overcharged me back in May.

My dominican buddy took me to his neighborhood, we went into this bar / club, a few cute chicas but lots of dudes standing around. The beers cost 50 pesos each, the next stop was whithin walking distance, it was a barbershop that turned into a mini club with a live band, there were a few stunners in there! Some with their novios in tow (No bueno!) after a few beers we took a public car to Casa Theresa. Public car is exactly that, you pay 20-25 pesos and they drop you off along a specific route. Public also means that you squeeze in with others, anywho it was an experience but I took a reg taxi back to the Jaragua from Theresa costing 250 pesos.

Presidentes costs 150-200 at casas, but dominicans are only charged 50 pesos at the local spots

How does the 9th flr work? How is it all you can drink? Is there a bartender or just a fridge full of goodies? Are there hours of the lounge or is it 24/7?

A few more pics from the Barcelo Santo Domingo. The room I had on the 9th floor, the central A / C never got that room cold. The shower and the sink in the bathroom had very hot water with very, very little cold water to make the water temperature bearable. The water was hot enough to burn. The last day it seemed there was more cold water to regulate the very hot water. I had to enter the shower a few times and adjust the water so the chicas wouldn't get burned from the water, not a such a bad thing, seeing them naked. I took one chica to the pool and was told I had to pay a 900 peso fee for the chica to use the pool. Appears pool use by guests is not free. The Jacuzzi on the ninth floor there was no extra guest fee. I ate at the restaurant near the check-in desk, seafood pasta, it was not very good. The waitress on the right in the Piano Bar pic, her fellow workers called her Chinita because of her slight Asian features.

Gagoo and I exited 305 one night and three 25 year old attractive Dominicanas were entering 305, we stopped and said Hello, they were friendly. The chicas were lesbian or bisexual or who knows, they were non-pros heading into 305.

I know some guys wished I had tapped the two sisters who visited me at the Barcelo. But there was no trio with those two sisters. However, I showed Sabor and Gagoo, Bar 360 in Zona Colonial (about 4 blocks north of the entrance of conde de penalbe hotel). The owner is a Canadian guy and he told me he has identical twin sisters who show up in his bar around 8-9pm who are available for takeout as a a tag team duo. I don't know what the prices are.

How does the 9th flr work? How is it all you can drink? Is there a bartender or just a fridge full of goodies? Are there hours of the lounge or is it 24/7?

Barcelo Santo Domingo used to be called the Barcelo Lina, many people still refer to it as the Lina. I enjoyed my stay there except for two experiences at night with two security guards and one guy at the front desk.

During the day, chicas visited me no problem.

Barcelo Santo Domingo has club premium rooms, they are slightly more expensive than the regular rooms. When I was booking the price was about an extra $16US per night. The Club Premium rooms are on the 8th and 9th floor. You can check-in at the desk in the ninth floor lounge and get your room key there (they have early check-in and late-checkout, no extra charge). The 9th floor is the top floor. I was given a room on the 9th floor. I would walk into the 9th floor lounge, take a bottle of presidente out of the lounge refrigerator (or two bottles) , take it to the pool or drink it in my room. In the lounge refrigerator there are bottles of water, beer, soda and a bottle of white wine. If I used a bottle of water or soda from the refrigerator in my room (not free) , I would replace it with the same item from lounge refrigerator (free). Apples are available on the counter in the lounge and a bottle of red wine sits on the counter, help yourself. I took my bottle of vodka to the lounge and the sun deck, asked one of the workers for some ice and used the free orange juice to make drinks for me and whoever was with me.

The lounge is open from around 7 in the morning to 11 at night. 2 sets of women work on the lounge floor during two different shifts, from the morning till it closes at 11pm. The female workers were very nice. The lounge and sundeck with jacuzzi was nice, I invited Sabor to the lounge and he made himself some coffee. I invited another friend and he drank beer from there, for free. Small snacks in the evening, pastries, meat, cheese and other finger food.

If you do decide to stay at the Barcelo you may want to ask them what their guest policy is in writing. In the daytime, I was not the only guy with a pro chica on the ninth floor. At night, some overzealous security guards might break your chops depending how your chica looks. Sabar took 2 chicas late at night with no problem and I took a light skin pro late at night with no problem. Some night time workers at the Barcelo appear to have a problem with darker skin chicas, be aware if you plan on taking darker skin chicas into the Barcelo at night, you might have a problem.

There are 4 computers in the lounge with free internet.

I was reading some of your older posts. Because of the recession in global economy. Are the police and people in Santo domingo going out of their way to rob and attack tourists? Should I consider not going? I am an Asian guy. I think I will stick out like a sore thumb. Has anyone else on this site came back from Santo Domingo recently, like in the past month. Is it dangerous for tourists? Please do let me know. Thanks again.

I'm half Asian, my dad was a white country boy from Arkansas that met my mom in Vietnam before the war started getting ugly. I can fit in as a local in many countries if I can dress like them, act like them and speak like them. I can get very dark skinned to white skinned. Anyways here in the DR people like to ask where you are from. And some are surprised when I say I am Americano. I guess they think there are only white people and black people in the US. Last night I was at a nice restaurant here close to the New Garden Hotel and an American Family was here. The guy heard me talking and said, oh you speak English. I said yeah I'm American. And he said oh, you work here. And I said no I'm on vacation. I'm bigger than the pure Asians in my family. 5'10" about 200 pounds right now, and go to the gym to lift weights and workout out about 4-6 days a week. So, I'm half Asian, but I confuse people trying to guess where I'm from. Many years ago I use to just lie and say I'm Hawaiian.

Anyways, chicas definatley don't ignore me, and I have a great time just about anywhere I go. Don't worry about if chicas will like you or not, and you'll be safe like anyone else as long as you are courteous and don't do anything stupid towards someone. In some countries though, like Thailand, if you are a Japanese man, they will definitely try to charge you a lot more.

No different from many other places. Use common sense, I. E. Don't walk down some deserted block in a bad neighborhood at night, and you will be alright. You won't stick out like a sore thumb. You are likely to see other Asians in the Santo Domingo.

It is a relatively safe city when you stay in the tourist areas. If you take taxis you will have less problems. A foreigner driving a rental car seems to bring out the worst in some Dominican police. Gagoo was a first time visitor in Dom Rep this month and seems he survived and had a good time. There are many Asians in Dom Rep. Stay at a chica friendly hotel like the Jaguar (owner speaks English) in the Gazcue neighborhood and you should have no problems.

I wanted to write a lengthy trip report but I am tired so I will simply type away.

One last word about the casas, the recent influx of tourists in the DR probably has something to do with the price jump at the casas. Heck even the NY taxi driver who took me to the airport is planning a trip soon, sounded like he was going to Sosua. I was too tired to engage and ask questions- Santo Domingo is just screaming for a central freelancer Disco hangout. The girls arent making any money, how can they with no customers frequenting the casas? I know Copa disco is there but the Jaragua is building their own and I was told it should be done in December.

If there are any casa owners reading this, lower the freaking prices back to 2500 pesos and you will get more volume and your top girls will stay and attract even more customers! The Brazil crowd and more newbies are now coming to DR so, make it happen.

Since the casas have become tourist traps, I have been somewhat lucky in hooking up with some nonpros and semi pros in Santo Domingo. My first trip, I banged a Jaragua casino chica. Dreaming of unlimited bareback sex, I hooked up with a La Base chica and she became my novia for 5 mos or so. I feel like shit writing this since I cut her ass off this past trip and no I will not be an asshole and post her pic here. Yet. No problemo senor, vamos. I arrive at the Jaragua and pay him 1100 pesos. Check in was a breeze, I get upstairs-WTF? Regular room and its my birthday? HELL NO! I called the manager and after 5 minutes I am upgraded to a suite they later send a cake with a fruit platter, muy bueno. I finally link up with Jao (accompanied by Gagoo) and he's having an even worse day / week. Jao takes us on a quick tour of the casas and medium priced hotels-he had to catch a flight later. I get back to the hotel, ok where the fuck is mi novia?

I called her and she says she is coming at 7pm, she doesn't get to the hotel until 8pm or so but by now I am PISSED. Earlier her phone was off, so when she finally arrives and I must say she is looking extra fine, we go upstairs and the interrogation starts. Where the fuck were you? Mi Hija this and that. Blah and a long argument ensues. We go eat at Luis Di Parrilla (sp?) and come back to the room, TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES WOMAN AND DAME LA TOTO. Tu tiene mal humor, no quiere hacer el amor ahora and I have a headache. WHAT? It is my fucking birthday and this woman is acting like an American novia! After some more arguing she finally gives it up but the sex is supbar. Woke up the next morning and once again, mediocre sex. By now this bareback tight pussy crap has gotten old and I am wishing for a hardcore puta. We go to the club lounge for the free breakfast and return to the room. We were supposed to go to Nagua for the weekend but another argument ensues. I won't go into any details but it went something like this. You are very cheap, Spanish men are more generous-WHAT? This trip I finally made it to Boca Chica and Juan Dolio-hired a driver and for 90 bucks who showed me several beaches. I also stopped at the costa caribe hotel, decent hotel and it was full of Dominicans due to the saint of Mercedes holiday weekend. He tried to hook me up with his sister in law. Went to meet her and a gordita opened the door. Yikes. NO BUENO! I made some excuse to leave and dude had the nerve to ask if I liked her? Not wanting to insult him, I simply said she's ok. I then showed him a pic of my ex novia and he got the message

For that I got a room on the 9th floor, all you can drink beer (bottles of presidente beer) , soda, coffee and wine (good red wine from Spain). Also snacks at night and a small breakfast buffet. And orange juice to mix with the Belvedere Vodka, a good Polish vodka (the duty free shop at the airport did not have Chopin Vodka).

I got blitzed one night with the red wine, presidente beer and vodka. Part of that night is a blur. I didn't drive that night.
