I was there & I have to agree there were definitely more misses than hits at the place. The winner of the contest, I thought was pretty hot though (Venezuelan Chica). I attached some pics. I will say the the venue looks pretty decent & is pretty good to watch football games & toss back a few drinks

I was thinking about staying at the blue bay villas dorados but I don't think It's a chica friendly hotel. I wanted to stay at an apartment cause its cheaper, I can bring guests, my chica say she would cook for me. I searched the thread and I haven't seen any recent apartment listings. Are there any apartment to rent for a week in Puerto Plata?

I believe blue bay is an all inclusive hotel in playa dorada complex, puerto plata (gated entrances with armed guards). Years ago I stopped and picked up two 25-30 year old year nicely dressed Dominicanas who were walking along the main road not far from playa dorada. They offered a happy hour, but I had busted a nut earlier and wasn't overly enticed by them. They asked me for a ride to Road House Bar in playa dorada. The guards at the gate wouldn't let me enter with the two chicas.

Having lodging in playa dorada complex may not be conducive to mongering.

I had some photos of the contest sent to me by a friend of mine and only one girl was even fuckable in my book and I'm not that fussy, the rest were as butt ugly as one could imagine. To be fair the photos only showed five or six of the contestants but it wasn't pretty I'll tell you that much. I know it is early in the game for them and there is nobody that wants to see the place succeed more than me but he is going to fail miserably with his ridiculous prices and those fuglies.

There was a difference from the bikini contests held in BB. They don't even wear bikinis! Butt naked! Well, they have to do something to get the clients in, eh?

A couple years ago when the american guy ran it they were giving BB's a run for their money without a doubt. They were almost always full and he ran a tight ship and there were plenty of great gals there, I stayed there a bunch of times during that timeframe. Whoever owns the place now should hire him back and get the place back on track. You are spot on that the places that are open the longest get the better girls because that is where there is an established customer base for the girls and the girls know this. I have always said that the biggest difficulty in getting FOD (or whatever one wants to call it) back on track is if there are no guys staying there no girls will show up, no girls hanging around, no guys will stay there. That is why Alberto always gave the girls a free meal, albeit it wasn't enough to entice them and they started doing deals on the room prices and that brought in guys and the girls started flowing in, I loved staying there. I and a couple buddies were there when the earthquake hit in Haiti and the water in the pool was sloshing around and the glasses in the bar were shaking. We had one hell of a party that night, one of my drunkest, craziest trips ever.

The 750k purchase price wasn't that awful bad if a person paid cash for it but with Dominican interest rates oh shit! I want a reason to stay there the proximity to Playa Dorada beach and Roadhouse disco is appealing to me. The prison they call Playa Dorada AI's don't appeal to me. Didn't the guy that managed it last go to Sosua Bay?

Places that stay open long term in Latin America have better quality chicas and do I have to name names? Nope goes without saying.

First as Pooter said I have run into former BB's girls in cristals and talked with them and they were there because they told me there wasnt enough business at BB's. Yes BB's does well but the girls werent making as much money as they thought they should so I can only imagine the problem Fiesta will have getting top notch talent and keeping them happy. By the way you don't want girls that are anything like the girls in cristals, those girls are so fried between some living there and guys getting drunk and acting like a-holes, many of them I think just hate guys. Brad Pitt himself couldn't get a rise out of most of them! This brings me to a few more points. Am I the only one that thinks BB's has plenty of top notch talent, I am particular and I see great talent at BB's and most have an awesome attitude, so why would I pay these absurd prices at Fiesta. Lastly, like another poster mentioned I don't agree that BB's is in the middle of nowhere. At BB's you have a beach where you can meet locals and DR bars within a mile or two that you can pull from! I wish them luck and it can't hurt to have options but I just wonder where this top notch talent is going to come from to justify the expense. My guess is the talent wont be better then anywhere else. The guys that pay those prices are across the street with family or friends and can only slip away for an hour or two so the have no choice. Sorry I am just really against unjustified and random price hikes.
