The fella that made this video and then posted it online for the world to view (including the Cuban authorities, no doubt by now they have seen it) , has, to be sure, destroyed the lives of more than a few Cubans. What an ass. In terms of the video, and his attempt at a documentary, the Center for Social Media published "Honest Truths: Documentary Filmmakers on Ethical Challenges in Their Work" and assert, in part:

SUBJECTS: DO NO HARM, PROTECT THE VULNERABLE.

In thinking about their subjects, filmmakers typically described a relationship in which the filmmaker had more social and sometimes economic power than the subject. In this case, they worked for a good-faith relationship that would not put their subjects at risk or cause them to be worse off than they were before the relationship began. They widely shared the notions of 'Do no harm' and 'Protect the vulnerable. '

i know what he means, if i understand his point correctly. red bull is more expense than beer or rum at a disco and regular cubans would never drink it. for her to casually ask for the most expensive drink they have basically gives her away as a jinetera who is use to going to discos and hitting up foreigners for drinks.

regarding the video, if the cuban authorities come across it (and they do search the internet for such things) you can almost guarantee the guy has basically condemned the workers at the ambos mundos to 15 years in prison. that guy should never return to cuba because if they ever find out his name he will be off to prison as well. a spanish reporter did a report on prostitution in cuba once and when he went back he was arrested and put in prison for sleeping with ****d girls (as evidenced by him talking to them in his video).

Forget that girl. Seas are plenty of fish. Obispo is a hunting strait. You have to be discreet there and fast to pull a girl which has swallowed a bait. Boats are available through major tour operators. Visit Marina Hemingway. I have no interest in casinos and most Cubans won't like the idea either.

yes chico you are absolutely right about the red bull thing. i am trying to read behind the lines of the documentary and although it is very good there has to be some serious editing that was done. yeah that girl isn't quite as innocent as he made her out to be. anyway, i haven't been to cuba but am already booking a trip in january because the quality of the girls in that video convinced me.

can i change mexican pesos there without paying the penalty fee or is it better to go with euros or canadian dollars.

I hate to say it (but it's true) when it comes to a long distance relationship with a Cuban girl, you can't trust them. And I mean none.

If someone was thinking of meeting a girl and taking her out of Cuba, I highly recommend against it. Culturally it wouldn't work unless she is really educated and mature. Cubans are so close to their family and friends, to take her away with little contact to a 1st world country where she may not speak the language and doesn't know anyone is a recipe for disaster. I honestly can not see that working more than 1 in a 100 times.

Not only Cuban gals, but all of them. Long distance relationships don't work, period.

I have to say tho, that in Cuba it gets to a really ridiculous extent and they do act that way even between themselves. Meaning that if the partner isn't on the spot right at that time, it's like there isn't any partner at all.

That's how most of them see it.

Concerning taking a Cuban gal away from there to your home country; it could work if you happen to share the same interests and thoroughly enjoy the same things they enjoy; dancing, drinking, clubbing (and fucking which I won't put in the list because we all know we do). Cubans don't really seem to be up for anything else, all they know how to enjoy themselves is clubbing and dancing and drinking, period. Living with a Cuban partner anywhere means either dedicating a hell of a lot of time to those activities or having her depressed.

I have personally never met a Cuban anywhere outside Cuba that wasn't either selling sex and / or giving dancing classes or at the most working in latin clubs as bartender.

That's pretty much as far as they get.

It's only natural that young girls want what comes from having a foreign boyfriend (financial security, etc) and it is a dream for many, but the more common experience (I have seen literally a hundred times) is a foreign tourist comes to Cuba and falls for a beautiful young girl who tells him everything he wants to hear. Then he sends money monthly, but the entire time she either has a Cuban boyfriend or is still hooking up with foreigners or both. I even know more than a few examples of foreigners paying to renovate or buy (permutar) a house for a girl and she lives there with her boyfriend / husband who moves out during the time the foreigner visits. I hate to say it (but it's true) when it comes to a long distance relationship with a Cuban girl, you can't trust them. And I mean none.

Thanks Chico, Yeah in the Documentary he makes it seem like she was an innocent sweetheart normal girl. In reality she probably isn't a pro or even a semi pro but is definately willing to give it up for the chance to be something more than she is (she wants to be a model) or maybe even some $ which the Film maker may have given her to do that modeling strip thing at the end. Also we don't know how many girls he approached before finally getting a willing participant. I guess we won't really know the actuall truth. Don't get me wrong, (I am 38 in good shape and think I am good looking) if I ended up with that girl in the Video I would consider my Cuba trip a roaring success.

Chico, Do the girls down there really envision making a life with a gringo. I consider my self a world traveler and in most countries the gringo card works well but not to the extent I see in the video. That girl seemed downright enamored and desperate.
