Yes, absolutely. Unless you like paying roaming charges, you will save money. I purchased one years ago, and keep the same number. It also gives chicas and friends a local number to call.

You will definitely be at a disadvantage if you didn't, LOL.

Most of us get cell phones because you will more than likely:

1. Meet a chica that you want to bang, but just not at the moment (especially if you've been banging other chicas all day and are out of leche)

2. Bang a chica that absolutely rocks your socks in the sack and you wish to repeat with her again later or another day.

For number 1, just hand said chica your cell phone and she will input her cell number. You can either buy a cheap international / unlocked quad-band phone from Amazon.com to bring with you, or just go to the Claro or Orange store once you get there and buy a cheap Dominican phone. There is usually also a guy walking around Sosua with a rack of phones for sale with minutes on them already. Just make sure it works before you give him any money.

Sometimes chicas will call your phone and hang up. Just call them back. They are just trying to save their minutes on their phone (incoming calls are free to them). If you call a chica and her phone is off, she is either with another guy, or her phone is dead (electricity is not 24/7 in the Barrios) , which is why it is always good to get multiple numbers from different chicas.

If you run out of minutes you can always buy more at most of the little supermarkets and they will give you a card with a code. I always ask them to do it for me (never could figure it out, lol). You can also just go to the store where you bought the phone and buy more there.

Ok. I had to share this story out of order for my trip. This is for night #5:

My search took a little longer, until at 12:30 I spotted her. (with absolutely no idea of what was to come).

She was petite with nice size tits, a slim waist and a plump little ass (just the way that I like them). It also didn't hurt that she had her own hair flowing to the middle of her back and a very pretty face. She wasn't a 10, but was a strong 8 bordering on 8. 5 when she smiled. I licked my lips in anticipation as I approached her standing by herself at the bar. I had noticed a couple of other guys trying to talk to her earlier and didn't think to ponder on why they all had walked away with a perplexed look on their faces. I should have.

Calypso sits low on a lower side street and gets flooded even with moderate rains and the first floor rooms are unrentable. I would doubt it has hot water. Some of the out of town girls used stay there 3 or 4 per room during the hey days. It must have sure deteriorated more with the slowdown.

The whole of the front part was gutted, renovated, and reroofed just a couple of weeks ago. Don't know if there were any changes made to the rooms though. I am not aware of any hot water there. I have not seen the rooms flooded. When it rains heavily the water collects quite deep outside the liquor store on the corner of Calle Ayuntamiento and Pedro Clissante, but Calypso is just a bit further down from where the water collects.
