Stopped by Mavericks formally known as Silver Dollar on two separate occasions recently in the late afternoon. Happy hour is 1:00 to 5:00 PM and drink specials are 60php, regularly 80php; LD are 150php and 180php all other times. The place seemed tidy and I never saw and roaches. Graeme was there but busy fixing one of the TV's. Met manager Peter who made sure I was having a good time.
As far as the girls go, I was pleasantly surprised. Many where above average with a few hotties! Did not barfine although a few were begging me to take them away. Was quoted a new 'all inclusive' BF of 2800php LT and 2300php ST! But just like Lone Star, if you are in the know it's 800php plus whatever you work out with the girl. A few of the girls were complaining that most of the customers were koripot regulars but I did see a group of Japanese stroll in. This bar still remains a good venue to start off your evening!
On a final note, Chris the former owner of Silver Dollar and Blue Angels had a heart attack in his sleep and died recently.

The Boss KTV and Bikini Bar on Sanciangko St. Was raided on Thursday March 15th. For those interested in the details, I provided the link but it's pretty standard propaganda that's used for every raid and temporary closure.

Has anyone stuck there head inside Cobra Bar to see what's on offer? This bar has been around since September or October 2011 and is located on Ramos on the same side as Bo's Coffee and Neo-Neo and across from K1 Spa. I see some girls (GRO) hanging out there some evenings with the door open and some music playing (mostly older 28+ 5's and 6's) but I have never been inside. It gives off a locals vibe but again unsure.
It's a small place and I think many guys failed to notice a new bar opened.
Just wondring whats the 411.

Most of the barhopping was between 9-12 during 2 days; only was at 9 bars. Many Koreans and some Japanese at the bars. Not sure if waves of Asians take out the best girls early.
1) Love City had decent girls; maybe best overall in General Maxilon St; all in bikinis, just like all the other bars I was at. Bar fine was the highest at 4000 pesos; everything included. Asked the mamasan if it was ST or LT; she said it's up to you. It was different from 4 years. Back then, some of the girls were naked. Couple were outstanding, maybe 9s, but they were of dubious age. Was told at that time that the place was owned by a local that was connected. But now, there is a sign that says "No Barfines", and all the girls were in bikinis. Seems things have changed.
2) Papillon: Marginal girls (6s). Barfine is 3000 pesos; girls get half; everything included. Asked a girl if it was ST or LT; she said it was negotiable with the girl.
3) Dimples: Girl told me barfine was 2000 pesos without tip; 3000 cost with everything included. She said those prices are normally ST; she said we needed to give more tip if you want LT.
4) Planet X: Maybe the largest bar; decent girls.
5) BJs (?) : Barfine was (less than 2K. Forgot, between 1700 to 1900) ; then need to tip.
6) Sisters: Marginal girls; most expensive SML at 75 pesos. Girl said barfine was (less than 2K; between 1700 to 1900) ; then girl said she got half; got confused if that is correct; total barfine then seems too cheap.
7) Red Lips: Marginal girls; many cars out in front; numerous locals in the bar.
8) First time at J Ave (the old Juliana) in Mango Square. Got there at 11 PM during the weekday. 100 pesos cover coupon for your first drink. Half the tables were occupied; not that crowded. Half the girls were with local guys, and the other half were alone with other girls. Most seemed to be in a stoned stupor. They were just sitting at the tables, just staring at nothing. They definitely weren't aggressive in searching for punters. Some other poster said the action started at 3:30 when the bargirls got out; that's way past my bedtime.

"How about." How about you get some manners?
Silver dollar is now Mavericks. The name has changed. Basically that is all that has changed recently. It's not a "new" bar. Have you ever been there Cuchulain? There was the fire / loss of air conditioner incident in 2011. It was interesting in that the more energetic gals would get real sweaty. I love sweaty women. Now that the AC works again, well, it's back to normal. Like the sister club, LS, they have variable bf depending on who you are or who they think you are. The freshest thing about Mavs was MM. Wow.
If anything is "new" it would be the Hot Rod transformation to Planet X. Which has been written about here previously. At one time is was a Erik group clone, with all the sofas, but more gals dancing-and an annoying efeminate manager. THen for a while we had Tina, the bulldog of mamasans. She's now in Sisters. The new bar got rid of some of the sofas, and Tina, and added some tables with bar stools. They even have a band on some nites, although the singer I saw last time creeped me out. Actually, the new owner creeped me out too.
X.

The action in Cebu is almost entirely in the freelancer / non pro scene. If you want bar reviews I suspect we need some newbie or infrequent viitors to step forward.

I walked outbound along the road for a while as I recall seeing a place called Pussycats on my way in the original taxi from Ayala.
A little further along I finally saw somethign I recall from the forum, Viking Bar. I went in there and was also disappointed. By now it was about 8pm but no enthusiasm from the token dancers on the stage. Ordered a beer and bought a lady a lady drink. Bar fine P2k.
I headed out of here and worked my way along the next two doorways. Similar stories. Bar fine P2k. Each time I bought a lady drink as just wanted some company and a feel (as you do). Can't recall the exact prices. Would it be something like P80 for a beer and P150 for the lady drink? Seems the ladies don't always get bar fined, maybe 1 night in 4-5 so they say. Dancing all the way along was mediocre.
Was heading out to get a taxi when I was called into Planet X. Well who can resist. Much more activity inside. Usual gaggle of punters surrounded by beautiful ladies. Took a booth by the dance floor, made eye contact with the dancer whom was actually enthusiastic. Quickly surrounded by another two a ladies. Bough them P100 of food just to get rid of them. The dancer, short haired, Maui, son joined me. Nice breast, slid behind, nice and pleasant. Once again P2k bar fine. I admit that I was going to barfine her when I checked my pocket and was simply down to about P500. Embarrassing.
Finished our drinks and about 11pm caught a taxi back to Ayala and wandered through the Terraces looking for a stray. No luck.
As I mentioned somewhere else, next trip I'll do less of the hunting down dates and probably just go for the bars. Less hit & miss, less running around and to be honest, the quality of girls was quite good.
Now back in Australia I've been cruising through Tagged looking for local dates. It is so disappointing. When in Cebu, the age filter is set at 19-25. Here at home I set it at 40-50. Such a bunch that I've been seeing on the dating sites for the past year. I love the Cebu search, no matter how often oulook, there is always so much hot young talent on offer.
My next trip to Cebu isn't too far away.
