For FOD here lies the problem, if you let the girls just "hang out" they will not be there in the evening and some days, especially if the place isn't packed and they feel like they can't make money. Also in my experience when the girls can just "hang out" the quality isn't good not just at FOD but anywhere. So now an FOD guest is stuck in the middle of no-monger-land.

I don't know what the deal with the all inclusive is (although one guy was there and he told me that he was very happy with the service and the food). I just showed up, rented a room for a couple of hours (for 800 pesos) and then picked out one of the chicas that was hanging at the bar. They have staffed the place with a bunch of girls who can just sit there if they want to (like at Blackbeard's) and most of them are really hot looking girls. Evidently, as it is slower in the summer, the girls are more than happy to be able to hang at a place that has a regular flow of traffic and really nice rooms to rent for their clients. The taxi drivers all over the North Coast are promoting the place (two drivers told me about it) so all the chicas want is a place that can drive business their way. I had no issues with the girls, the prices or the quality of the resort. But I didn't use any of their all inclusive plans. For a short term afternoon of a gorgeous room and a hot chica, it was exactly what I was looking for.

I just confirmed that it is in fact Jose Fernandez formerly of BB's that has been for some sort of management role, not sure to what extent, we'll see how it goes.

I don't want to start a new debate on these all inclusive retreats such as DR Nights or O2 but to say they are scams is a bit over the top. If it were a scam it would be misrepresentative of what was offered. I can only speak of the aforementioned two businesses and tell you that neither one of them are a scam, overpriced, yes. I wouldn't get caught dead utilizing either of their services again but I have in the past and enjoyed them both tremendously. The reason I wouldn't go there again is cost and cost only. The overall quality of the girls were head and shoulders above anything the average guy will find in Sosua or at BB's and the quality of services is better. I went there back quite some time ago before I knew the lay of the land in the DR and didn't know any spanish. The guy from DR nights used to swing by FOD with a couple of his girls in tow on a regular basis and let me tell you he had some of the best of the best on that island without a doubt. There is also the privacy issue (not for me though). What I am saying is, if you have boatloads of money and are married or are in a high profile business and only have limited time and want top notch girls and want to be catered to on a much higher level than a trip through Sosua then there is nothing wrong with it.

Thanks for confirming the Jose thing. I respect your opinion on the highly prices AI's. Having been granted a complete tour of O2 by its owner 2 years ago I would say his operation is the highest I would pay. You can get it done there for maybe $800 per night and the broads were smoking hot. I wrote a report on it in the separate O2 thread here. Scroll back you'll find it. His operation is superb and he actually owns the property unlike some of the other venues that operated out of rented billets. The other places are just WAY too expensive but there's always those guys with money to burn. We calculated that it would have been cheaper for him to fly round trip to Prague, CR and just stay at a guest friendly place and slay as many ex-warsaw pact chicks as he could handle for less than what he paid Vikings. doker / first dude: i was there last week and observed as one of the owners interviewed that old bb's mamasan. she was there with her american boyfriend that i enjoyed talking with during her interview. didn't recognize her as my first trip to bb's wasn't till early 2010 i think and i don't know her name. this trip was my 6th or 7th to sosua / bb's, lost count. the new fod owners each gave me one of their black colored business cards with the "buy one drink. get one free" offer printed right on them. i just checked fod's new website. it reads like they are moving towards the oxygen retreat model over in cabarette. i asked the owners if they had visited or heard of o2 and they hadn't. i urge these guys to phase things in gradually and just let the chicas hang out there. any unused room should be rented out short time (1 hour) for 400 pesos, as they always did, grab a chica, pound it out, and hit the bar. the old fod sucked ass at night as no chicas were there. none! the previous owner dumped a ton of money into fod and promptly went bust trying to copy o2. moving gradually towards the more reasonable bb's model is the way to go. going the route of these total rip off joints like vikings, charlies angels, or this dr nghts scam is totally ridiculous and experienced members here will call them out on it. bringing in non-dominican girls to the dr as escorts is fraught with legal risks and other drama. keep it local, legal, vetted with authentic cedulas, and monthly medical exams and the full std blood work panel, and they should be ok imho. lastly, if this "jose" guy is the same one that worked for bb's, he's a crook, and was fired from bb's for dirty dealings. the owner of bb's practically adopted that guy and he turned on him. if we are talking about a different "jose", please excuse me.

At least three years ago, while on vacation at Playa Doroda in Puerto Plata, I ventured across the street, based on the recommendation of a taxi driver, to check out an adult resort called the Field of Dreams. Puerto Plata that looks anything like the Field of Dreams and their new web site shows everything in full detail. The site address is:

Sounds like they got their shit together, but when I went to their website I was a little surprised at their AI prices. It seemed like their other packages only included the hotel room and judging by their AI prices I can only imagine what the services cost. I mean 399. 00 USD a night is a bit steep for DR anyway you look at it. Even an inexperienced monger with Tourettes Syndrome like me can do better in Sosua than 400 a night LOL.
