Yes they do, especially if you treat them right and get them on the right night or in the right moment. Not worth arguing over, you keep paying 3-4000, we will keep paying 1-2000. At 15 times out a month, that amount in extra baht goes an incredibly long way. It astounds me that guys are that naive that they think they actually get better service by paying more. Then again, there's a sucker born every minute.

Don't pay more as you will ruin it for all of us." And he was / is right. But again, here in Bangkok we are dealing with big egos from Farangs and big face for Asians. Mackin: you can get 1500 ST quite easily in any of the Nana bars except the Rainbows. I don't go to the Rainbows anymore. The smaller bars are cheaper and have better service.

In my experience there is no hard and fast formula for arriving at what you pay in go go's. It depends on.

How popular the girl is, she will know from experience what she is capable of earning per night which will depend on the time of the evening, how busy the joint is and what nationalities are in. As mentioned elsewhere Japanese do tend to pay more as prices back home are much higher than Thailand so 5000 or even 10000 for top class talent is acceptable. Less popular girls have obviously lower expectations and some will gladly accept 1500 for ST or even LT if the chemistry is right.

The time of the evening is important. A girl may refuse 3000 early in the evening believing that she can hook a 5000 "John". However as the midnight hour approaches and things are not looking that promising she lowers her expectations and might depending on how badly she needs money end up accepting 2000 or even less.

While girls will have standards for who they will go with by and large these are not particularly stringent. Believing a girl will lower her price because you are well dressed polite young and "hansom" with a sparkling witty personality that she finds irresistable is self delusion and just does not fit the fact that these girls are working not socialising. Why would she when it costs her money. We all like to think we are attractive to them but you are just another face in the crowd of which she sees thousands and rarely if ever remembers any of them after they leave.

Finally it is true a girl will quote a higher price than that which she is prepared to accept so it is worth mentioning that you usually pay such and such and if that's acceptable ok if not thank you and have a nice evening. If what you are offering is close to her expectation it's a done deal.

Last November a friend who is oriental was wondering around Nana. He was being quoted 4000 be for LT. This was in the Rainbow 4 bar. That is totally crazy. I have not ventured in to a rainbow bar since as one time the door guy acted like an ass so I told him to put it where the sun doesn't shine. Have no interest in going back. Actually I don't care for Nana itself. To many other places to do my shopping.

I think Nic is correct. Get to be a regular and the picture will change for you. 3000 baht is a good LT price, very fair and all. Still, it is on the high end and must be earned. 1500 to 2000 is also fair for ST. Again negotiate, see what happens.

I paid 2500B LT in Feb last year at Nana for a girl from DC10. I cannot recall her name for the life of me, but she was a very petite little thing. She wasn't exactly what you'd describe as hot, actually very plain, but more than made up for that in the sack. She was my first bargirl and bar fine. She won't be the last.

None the less for whatever reason there have been customers than have facilitated bringing the price for nookie up as much as 100%.

In some respects Bangkok is a nicer city now with more malls and increased rapid transit access.
Even expanded skywalks along BTS. If they can connect the skywalks thru out the place will be much better. I have even seen a new subway tunnel connection to new mall.

Younger guys will do pretty good hooking up on websites or normal venues because girls are less interested in age gap then ever before.

For the most part other than professional service oriented relationships I would suggest your don't bother trying to find a soul mate in the red light district.

For any Xpats living in the region the sence of Xenaphobia is as much or more than ever. The bright light of business ideas you may have going off in your head resemble to the locals something more like a target. Random police searches of foreigners are prevalent and give the message that your not welcome in Thailand.
