Chinese / Korean places offer the highest chance and most Chinese / Korean delivery shops are unofficially guaranteed.

Do all the booths at least face the same direction, with some barriers between booths, or is everything arranged in a circle, with everyone facing each other and having 100% visibility?

Everything faces forward, its lighter and much smaller than JanJan, so if you aren't at the front as others are going in and out you will be in pretty much full view.

Personally I didn't care too much and found the girls abou the same as JanJan, plus its better value (for me for two pops). Also the music isn't that cheesy techno most of these places play, which I found much better!

Late Saturday morning (around 11:00 am) I decided to do some mongering research in the Shinjuku area. First I attempted to visit a few soaplands in Shinjuku. The first soapland I went to in Shinjuku was. 11 channel, which is next to an empty lot just around the corner from Tenkaippin. I've been there in the past but that was a long, long time ago. There is now a sign up in the entrance with big bold letters, JAPANESE ONLY. I ignored the sign and went to the front counter anyway. I spoke to the tout at the counter (my Japanese is passable but certainly not fluent). He said the business was for Japanese only. When we spoke he said there was no problem with my Japanese just that the times had changed. I asked why and he didn't elaborate.

Just on the other side of the empty lot (about 150 feet away) there is another soapland (I forget the name but it has a blue canopy with a mermaid on it. It's next to the 'Be-Wave' café and bar). I spoke to the tout there and he said I could come in now since it was day time (before 7:00 pm) but not in the nighttime. He said he didn't want a lot of foreigners in the place during the night hours when he mostly had Japanese customers. He also quoted a price of about 35, 000 yen. I thanked him for the info and moved on.

As I walked away I was approached by a Japanese guy asking if I wanted to see a strip show or have a massage. I introduced myself and asked what his name was. Watanabe, was his repsonse. I inquired about the massage and he said it included a BBBJ if I wanted it. The cost would be 15, 000 – 20, 000 yen for 40 minutes and the price depended on the girl I got. I asked about FS and he said it would be at least 25, 000/40 minutes. I then asked about an accommodating soapland in the area and he said in the past I could have gone to 11 Channel or the mermaid shop. He said I probably couldn't get in there anymore because there are more affluent Japanese guys going in there and they don't care to 'compete' with the foreigners. He said if I wanted guaranteed FS in the Kabukicho area my best bet would be to go for health service from one or more of the escort places. He said he could show me around but I passed on his offer saying I wanted to do some research in the Shibuya area as well. He noted that he was always somewhere near the Tenkaippin and could assist if I needed it. Watanabe appeared to be somewhere between 45 and 48 years old, smokes heavily, and has a long ponytail. He speaks fluent English and was dressed very casually. Ball cap, t-shirt, slacks and a sweatshirt tied around his waist.

My Japanese is far from fluent, but my ability to communicate on a street level is extremely good. Do not confuse the two.

Tricks? Be nice. Treat the girls with respect. Never push it.

As for "quality" on CL, this is a highly subjective call. In general, I have found the quality to be at least as good if not better than you are likely to get anywhere else. No, of course the rates are not similar to Chinese / Korean hotbed estes-not if you are thinking 10, 000 yen. Expect to pay 20, 000 for 60-90 minutes. For that the girl will come out to your place.

Well, I speak japanese so it helps. I live and work here. Usually, most of these busineses don't allow foreigners because of language barriers. There might be things the girl is not cool with and neither does the store tolerate.

But after tonight, I am goingmto retire from mongering to attempt a real relationship.

Based on recommendations here decided to try Happy Verry on my short few week trip to Tokyo. The pictures given in a link earlier really helped but the final 10 yards have changed somewhat. The whole area around have is a little overwhelming-especially if you can't read Japanese. I also only speak minimal Japanese having taken it a long time ago.

Almost missed it and had to double back, an old Japanese tout (I think) wearing a hat, glasses and checkered shirt stopped me outside near the stairs as I can pass for Japanese, but said to me "Japanese boys only!" when he realizes I'm not. I asked if this was have, he looks at me, considers a moment and motions for me to follow him.

Upstairs he negotiates access for me despite my being non-Japanese. They show me the prices and I am charged 21, 000, 19, 000 for 55 min plus 2, 000 initiation. I don't get to choose my girl because apparently only a few take gaijin and they are not on the board. I get led to a small waiting room where a couple other guys are waiting. Then the tout comes in and says,"Chippu". I guess he got me in so I give him 2, 000. (too much? Necessary?)

Then the guy that took my payment gets me and leads me about a 3-5 min walk (where he repeats several times to me "sex is prohibited" and making an X with his arms- guess he doesn't believe my "wakarimashita"s) to nearby love hotel where I forked over another 1, 500.
