For a whole week now there is this big deal in Granda about poetry. The hotels are all filled, and you can't get near to park your car at the main park. That is where the action is if you like poetry. Myself I'll be glad when this is over tomorrow night.
Weather has been a little cooler than normal here which is nice. No real rain either. The dollar is 1 for 24. 25 Cords. As far as SW I have seen only a few as there is too many people, and to many cops walking around.

Has anyone ever gone carousing and casa-hopping in Rivas? Does anyone know any available girls in Rivas? Not San Juan del Sur. But Rivas! I am headed to Rivas for work next week and would really appreciate any leads or introductions.

Boys this is not a sexo report so you may want to skip this, but some may find it interesting. Anyway this whole Nicaragua board is asleep so read on if you like.
The above is a old saying my Father quoted me often. I have found this to be in my life 100% true. Of course if you are walking down the street, and get hit by a meteorite than that would to me be the rare exception.
Anyway I was all set to go to my favorite Island (Corn Island) when for once I decided to call ahead to my hotel to make a reservation. To my surprise they were booked solid. As this hotel is my favorite I decided not to go. A few day into the time I would have went I ended up with a root canal needed. This also was a tooth that was capped. Now corn Island is described as primitive at best. There may have been a half ass dentist there, but I was able to go to my English speaking dentist. For the root canal and the new cap will cost me $300. The procedure started Monday, and will be completed on Sat. No waiting in the waiting room, and my dentist took great pains to educate me on the process. Funny my root was dead so I needed no needle

Masaya street money changers appear to me to give the best rate. I got 23. 8 for a buck yesterday.
There is a good dentist there who speaks pretty good English. I had a problem where I did not know if it was a tooth or a sines infection. He gave me a detailed exam, and then also filled a cavity. No waiting, and the 500 cord charge was very good for me to hear.

A great Island if you like things laid back. Stay away from hotel food. It is OK. But it is a little cheaper to eat at the native resturants. I got a good lobster dinner for 200 cordobas. I don't remember the name of the place, but ask any cab driver to take you for good lobster.
Areana's beach is the best by far. Clear calm water with no rocks, seaweed, or jellyfish.
Best to bring your own girl as the pickings are slim.
From MGA on the local prop planes it is about $162 RT.

Posts: 53What I liked about her was she was sort of new to the business, kind of green because when I picked her up the first time she did not how much to charge, she actually lowball herself by asking for 150 cordobas plus she was kind of nervous in the beginning. I hope she has retired.

Posts: 53Since the board has been so slow lately I though I would post a short report on my experience a few weeks ago. This was my second session with Maria, short dark skin 19 year old that I found near the piedra bocona in granada. Wonderful time, never rushed downside was she did not like to do BJ but the cost was only 200 cordobas. Sadly I have not been able to locate her again.

Posts: 53That is what I like about cesar disco many gringos go there for the late evening partying and no hassel. I do not know about Valeria but its pretty much a given you will find the four amigas (angela, carmen, maria and mariana) in front of alhambra up to about 4 o 5 am. I recommend Angela or Mariana, Maria is the least attractive but easy going and Carmen is ok but seems mechanic.

The people at the alhambra are sending there own driver since I have a reservation.
They say he works for the hotel, so I guess I trust him a little bit, I am sure you know of the sketchy cab situations people get in there, where the passengers end up in some field somewhere after being fleeeced. But not worried, I have dealt with nica for many years now.
Quoted me 45 bucks. A little more than usual since I arrive at 12:15am.
Is the Cesar disco bar sketchy for a solo gringo to roam into at that hour. I am tall 6'4, blond haired. 190 pounds, so not many dudes with mess with me.
But you never know.
Do you think there will be some SW in front of the Alhambra at like 1am or 130am.
And do you know anything about Valeria at Hospedaje Valeria? Some guys said she is willing to call chicas for you. Wondering if I could set something up in advance with her, and have one waiting for me when I arrive.
Or can you do that? Do you have "contacts".

Posts: 53On a Tuesday kind of hard to find anything open that late plus they have this new law in granada about beer and alcohol sale after midnight, so even the ESSO (gasstation) won't sell. About the only place I know will be open at that night is Cesar disco bar in the Inturismo area but I definitely do not recommend walking there, take a cab at the best. Cesar disco bar is also the hangout place for a lot of the Calzada working girls once they are done for the night and many can be picked up there. Powersurf, am curious how much is the driver charging for airport pick now? Thanks.
