And there are still plenty of bars selling a slice of soggy pizza for a few pennies. Recent posters attest to getting laid at reasonable rates, even if there seems a dearth of 1Rs a minute poke places.

Please excuse my relative ignorance of SP. Would any of the regulars care to do something akin to Bubba's Rio guide for SP I wonder? It is an amazing city. Yet even more than Rio, takes considerable perseverance to get to know. There's great stuff to be had, both mongering and culturally, but the challenges probably put a lot of people off. Orientation, using the transport system and avoiding mega traffic gridlocks, getting to know the main localities and their facilities and ease of reaching them, accommodation that doesn't break the bank account, and the big differences between SP and other Brasilian cities, all these would be of immense help to first time or infrequent visitors. I'm happy to contribute small details but don't feel I know the city well enough to write a 'guide!

Some of the rooms in Casarao have been renovated and others not.
Like you said, the place gets crowded with guys, especially on weekends, after about 1am.
That's why, when I hit Casarao, I show up right at 1130pm.

After Redway and a late dinner, I actually went to Casaroa last night (Friday) at 1245am. I actually saw one of the Redway girls there 'working'. Don't know her name. I really like the lower level feels upscale (part of it is open air so you can smoke) & reminds me of Connection VIPs smoking area but larger. But of course there were too many guys. I saw a morena beauty with braces, very tall (more than 1. 80) and thin. Most girls were not aggressive but alas I did not session. Too many variables IMO and I am not sure if the rooms upstairs have been renovated.
