    Prices

We can question guys on here all we want about prices. The fact is this site is 1/10th of 1% of the mongers who go to these places.

All the Asian businessman, Russian, Australian, etc, tourists could give a shit about this. Most come, want a quick fuck and don't care much about the cost, and leave.

I don't think a few guys on here are the problem. We can try to educate as much as possible. But Pattaya is now a huge family, global tourist spot and will continue to be so I believe.

Prices for pussy will more than likely go up. Costa Rica is a good example of this. It was cheap 10 years ago. Now, all those Chicas want $100 for a 20 minute, covered, mechanical fuck.

Prices will probably go way up if they bring in gambling. So think about getting it now while it is still reasonable.

You're such a big shot American and you can't even pay $30 for a girl. You should be ashamed of yourself. Unless, of course you are living on a $900 SS check. 1000 is no problem for me. Most good guys give 1, 500. Me too, if she's cool. Oh, too bad. That's ruining it for you cheapos. Actually, you cheap chumps are ruining it for the good guys because if the girls don't make enough to pay their expenses, they aren't going to stick around. Thanks cheap guy. I feel real sorry for you. Better luck in the next life.
You one big shot man from the one big shot country. Stay there and spend your big shot money wherever you please, but don't go out and spoil the world to your level. At the very least stop calling the reasonable ones names.

Have you been to Pattaya? There is one thing that that isn't going to change soon: The amount of women.

Who said 1000 is a problem for anyone? But why give 1000 when it is not necessary to give 1000? I always purchase my street fruit for 10 baht. By your logic I am a good guy if I pay 30 baht instead. By their logic I am a sucker if I do that.

Hmmm. Maybe it makes more sense that she will STICK AROUND because she hasn't made enough to pay expenses. Besides, if she doesn't, you think she is going back to the country to a job that pays even less than 200 baht / day when she just got 700 baht in a few minutes? Most of them are not in hookerdom as a permanent occupation anyway. They are all doing it to get enough money to do XYZ. So it is inevitable that some will come and some will go. To me it looks like you are ruining it and driving all the girls away. Because when you give them too much they will have enough money to do what they need and get out of that shitty job. I think you are right. You must be in an alternate reality.

    Hi Popper,

I read your previous report about big changes since your September visit and now this report.

That's the price you pay for visiting Pattaya in the high season (November-April).

The bad changes you have noticed will probably be gone if you return in September.

The pussy is there it's just more expensive and picky.

    Happy mongering.

There are nowhere near as many women available on the beach, though older, less attractive women are still in adequate supply and still go very easily for 500. After all for anyone over about 27 or 28 to charge more than 500 would be a bit absurd. However, I hate to admit that the younger cuter ones mostly want 700-800 from people who know what they're doing, and 1000 or even more from non-farangs or easily led men like Jesse James. I've often had to pay 1000 for special services, but obviously I don't repeat with those.

Finally, the numbers of younger, more attractive girls, and most importantly, younger more attractive drug addicted girls is way, way down on the beach due the upswing of police harassment. Most of the highly-motivated cuties are now simply sitting in jail fattening and getting scabies.

We all remember the days around '04-'06 when there wasn't a girl to be had on the beach. It is bound to come round again.

It waxes and wanes. At Beach Road. 500 still seems to be the basic going rate. I pulled at that rate throughout 2012 (including in December). One thing I really liked about Pattaya freelancers is that for many years. 500 used to be THE rate, virtually no negotiation necessary.

However, demand increasingly exceeds supply, so sometimes they ask for 700-1000 and won't budge. High season and frequent police raids (always resulting in fines) don't help matters. Employment opportunities in Thailand are much better, so not as many girls join the industry. Inflation puts the pressure on as well. 500 baht now doesn't go nearly as far as few years back.

The bad thing is, once the going rate unhinges from 500, it generally doesn't stay at to 6-800, but quickly jumps to 1000.

Opening with 600 right could be a minor mistake. If you show you're willing to pay over the going rate, they're inclined to ask for even more.

Well, since many here state not to base on home (western) prices, she follows the rule and sticks to local (thai) prices. As simple as that, nothing to complain. With a daughter of 15 she must be over 30 to 35yo. We know thai ladies still look young and are not as damaged as some of ours western gals, but still she knows competition is high and she better catch a customer for 700 rather than dreaming of the (never materializing) white knight paying her. How much? 1000? 1200? And then go home empty handed. With bills to be paid.

There is inflation of prices in Thailand. Things cost more than before. It's no surprise that the ladies on the Beach Road also want more money. They have bills to pay.

At a bar, you would pay 1000 B for the lady and a bar fine on top of this. But your bar fine is little bit like an insurance policy. Because when you know where the lady works and the people who know her, then you can feel safe with her in terms of her possibly stealing things from you or putting something in your drink to make you sleep and taking all your money.

You are taking a risk by looking for free-lancers who agree to do you for a low price. The lady may agree on the low price in order to steal from you or rob you later on.

The thought of doing the bar fine thing just makes me cringe. Those damn bar beer games, LDs, and the rest. OK. Heading back to hotel alone for the night and will do the BJ bar or soi 6 or somesuch tomorrow. Heading back and saw two gals. Figured it must be a sign from god. "Where you go?" . . . "I love you" . . . "You go with me." Gal agrees to 700 baht. Really nice gal too. She has a daughter about 15 years. Not a problem. I believe in variety and all that. Gorgeous face too.

Outstanding BJ and screw in the room. Shoulda gotten picts, but didn't. She then told me that she has Belgium citizenship.

Right. And I have citizenship from Mars.

She showed me her card. And pictures on her phone from Belgium. She then spoke French to me. Counted from one to twenty and continued to translate to French what I asked her to (I took French back in high school, and from what little I remember, her French was accurate, and she appeared fluent). Told me the city she lived in while in Belgium, as well as her travels to Spain, Germany, and smoking weed in Amsterdam. She was married to a native there for about a decade, but now divorced. Headed back in few months (claimed air tickets cost 30, 000 baht). Whole thing makes little sense to me. I mean, why would she go with farang for 700 plus tip?

That said, the gal had a brain, something unique and which I find rather attractive. Her body was OK. Face near perfect. Breasts small. Definitely doable. Joked with her of doing her anal, and she said she never did it before, and wants to try. Next time perhaps.

Always an adventure. However, am concerned about Pattaya and finding FLs. It is just far harder now than it has been for me ever since I began Pattaya back 1999. Never harder to find them actually. Worried that things are changing, and not for the better.

And he does't even use motorbikes. It won't be ready until 2015. He hopes to be able to sell it at double the price. But I said who would buy a used one at those prices when new ones not built yet are much more cheaper? (I would never buy something that wouldn't be ready until 2 years down the road anyway.) He figures worst case scenario he will be stuck with a condo in Jomtien.

My rent is only $1900 / year. I figure at that rate for 20 years will only be $38000 but who knows if I will even want to be around there by then. So it works out perfectly for me. No permanent stuff.
Sounds like your Wingman, looks at this like an investment more than a place to actually live. You say he doesn't even use a motorbike.

If he has paid cash, I. E. No borrowing, and he can collect rent of like $ 1750 pr. Year then that would be the equivalent of getting 5 pct. Interest on a savings account which no banks that I know of will pay today.

If he can sell it for double as he thinks then that's even better.

    Just saying.

  13. #11659
It looks like he bought the 23 sq, mtr. place? That is a closet with no view.

I actually can see them bringing casinos to Pattaya. What a cluster fuck the place would be.

  14. #11658
I'm a believer in owning property but I don't have a knock on renting too. It is a individual choice. As far as condos goes in my opinion in Pattaya the two best areas are Jomtien and Wong Amat beach. My first choice is Jomtien because I like the beach area although I wouldn't swim it in.

As far as buying a condo that wouldn't be ready until 2015, this is the reason why your friend got it for 1, 000, 000 baht, the majority of these projects are offering units at a lower price than when it will be built is because they need to obtain the 20% so they can obtain financing from the bank for the rest to break ground. Once the construction begins the other units will have a higher price structure. This is like a thank you for helping finance the project. The price your friend paid 1, 000, 000 baht that same unit would most like go to 1, 200, 000 baht. The drawback, one needs to do some research to go with a dependable builder that has success in completing projects.

Once completed, your friends idea that the price will double is a far stretch and the remark that why buy used when they are so many new ones available. But the idea is that as new ones are build the price will be higher unaffordable to others so they buy use?

When I came here over 10 years ago, I was told that one day they had plans to build a huge gambling establishment at Jomtien. I heard they even had the land set aside which always had me guessing they there are a bunch of empty lots right on the beach for years and years now? Although gambling is illegal I also heard that the current Pattaya Mayor was put into office to get it done once it does become legal? Never gave it a second thought for all these years but just the other day I read in the Bangkok Post a article suggesting that making gambling in Thailand is getting closer to reality?

This had me thinking about the beginning to the end for all of us. I could imagine if this happens in Thailand and particular Jomtien if a casino opens. I could see everything going through the roof just like Macau. I might be heading to a new destination?

  15. #11657

    Totally agree.

Why would you saddle yourself down with ownership. And how do you know what the market will do? Look at the condo market in the US. Nobody thought it would stop and now most owners are upside down. I can't see myself staying and one place long enough to make that kind of commitment. I've spent the last month traveling around. I like a lot of places, Vietnam especially. Maybe I'm a "variety is the spice of life" kind of guy. Quite frankly even though I like the ease of mongering here I'm afraid I might hurt myself if I was always here.
