Never done any of these want to-hang messages on a sex forum, but since I figured most gringos are to be found here, I thought I'd post.

I'm usually in Medellin with a colleague but right now I am here solo for a good month. I could use some company at times. Probably more so for a night out and some drinking than mongering per se. I've got about enough going with girls from Facebook etc. And am not that big on walking the streets looking for p4p. I am all for going to a strip joint once in a while, but that whole mansion thing with a bunch of gringos not speaking a word of Spanish having local putas served, that's not my thing at all.

I'm heading into my late 30's, but still look and party like a 28 year old. I'm from Europe, speak English and Spanish. I don't care about your age if you're an adult with a sane head and a sense of humour, someone with a bit of style, great if you're well traveled like me. I'm in. 'SURPRISE!. El Poblado.

Try Sinko Bar across from Oviedo mall. Very nice

LOL! My thoughts were party all night and sleep on the bus. I wake up and BAM I'm in the salsa capital of the world. No fun on the bus. LOL! But it would be cool if a meet some hot calena on the bus and have some fun.

The overnight bus to Cali is a good choice, the seats lean back so

You can sleep on it and arrive Cali in the morning. Caution, be sure to bring a

Jacket or blanket because the air condition is intense.

I am staying with at Parcero's penthouse in Cali. Parcero used to run the Laureles

Penthouse in Medellin. It is a great place to stay if you don't speak much Spanish or.

Wish to team up with other gringos to hit the casas. They take us to all the places

At night, but most of the time we (the other guests and I) just get the Cali list

From ISG and hit the casas one after another. After 2 days, we are still on page 1

Yesterday one of the places we hit was Karen's Lindas Chicas on Calle 51 #23-51, Barrio

Junin. Lots of Cali type girls at 25K 30 minutes or 41K per hour. They are open from

9 am until 12 at night. They have the most girls there at 3pm.

If you are staying in Poblado, you can get off in San Diego. It's a bit closer than going to Centro and going back the other way. It's almost always 100% Colombia. I'm always the only asian on the bus.

I've taken the bus from the airport for 7K COP, then cab it over from the San Diego stop to the Mansion for an additional 4-6k COP. Not a bad deal. I have yet to take the bus back up the hill due to real early or late flights back home. And yes, I've never seen any Americans on the bus. A little spanish would serve you well taking this route.

It is 70, 000 COP including the toll.

There are cabs with published rates on business cards. I had one for 50, 000 which was a recent increase.

There are also buses with two different destinations. The more frequent one takes you the Hotel Nutibara, the large hotel right in the center of El Centro. The other takes you to San Diego, where you catch a (typically) waiting cab to El Poblado. The buses are about 5, 000 and the cab to El Poblado is about 6, 000. 8,000. The buses at the airport stop in front of the information terminal by the door that is opposite the tourist information desk.

The buses are express with limited stops. The drop off to San Diego / El Poblado is the first stop I believe. So you don't lose much time except the taxis drive faster.

There was also a private, large SUV that ran the route from the San Diego / El Poblado dropoff. That was 12, 000 I believe.

i was wondering what the price is for a taxi from airport to el poblado area is? looked online for published cab rates could not find much.

My first time time in Medellin was 2yrs ago and remember cabs being 60k 70k maybe a little less. I'm fluent in spanish and start chattin' up the driver. He tells me you can take the bus for under 10k. So my second time around last year, I took the bus. It was fine. Drops you of a block away from the centro strip clubs. Then you can take a taxi from there. But be careful at night very shady area. While riding the bus I saw only two backpackers. Everybody else is colombian. Keep in mind I'm a latino, so I kinda blind in. Hope this helps. I'm going to Medellin in a few days. I arrive around 5 and will be taking the bus. Staying in the centro area for a night of fun then the next morning go to Cali by bus. 8hr from Medellin to Cali. First time in Cali for sport fucking!

That is when I go from the airport to El Centro. They should too going the other way around. Not sure why they do not give you one going from El Centro to the airport. That sounds very strange Matt. Maybe that was just an isolated incident. I never take the colectivo to go to the airport so I will keep that in mind in case in the future I need to do so.

LOL! My plan ticket was dirt cheap from dc to Medellin. Like $368. 00 on copa airlines. Direct to Cali was like 550. Plus I'm coming back to Medellin for 3 more day. Is one night in the Medellin centro worth an 8 hour bus ride to Cali?

Why not just fly directly into Cali?

I can't remember if I got a ticket for my bag. But this time I will def ask for one and if they don't give me one I'll just be more careful. I'm from Ecuador and have alway gotten a ticket when traveling by bus.

Usually I take bus. But they do not give you a ticket for your baggage when you ride the bus. This means that anybody who leave the bus before you can pick your baggage. Last time I went to the airport from Centro, somebody picked my bag in front of me at the airport. I told him that it was my bag. He looked around and found his bag, which looked similar to mine. I am not sure if I take the airport bus again.
