Hi, I see a few street girls here or there, but I have never tried one. They hang out on Palma and Estrella, down toward Colon. I heard that there used to be quite a few in Plaza Uruguaya, but they have renovated the park and they lock the gates at night to keep people out. The streetwalkers don't seem to be as pretty or as young as the girls in the good casas. I have heard that there are lots and lots of street ladies on the other side of Mercado Quatro, which is near downtown but not in downtown.

There is a new casa that I can recommend: Parada 838. It is located at Iturbe 838 casi Fulgencio Moreno. Phone is 449 955. When I was there today at noon, there were 9 chicas, all of whom I found reasonably attractive. However, I was there at 10 AM last week, and there were only two. The price for all the girls except two is 80. 000 for 30 minutes and 130. 000 for an hour. They have an introductory special of $130. 000 for 30 minutes with two chicas. For the other two chicas, the hourly price is 200. 000 (I passed). Servicio completo is negotiated privately with the chica. I have been with four chicas, and they all had good attitudes, with no signs of the burn-out that can spoil an experience, from my point of view. Britisher inquires about DFK and BBBJ. I'm sorry that I have no info on DFK. As for BBBJ, two of the four chicas volunteered it without my asking. I have been with four of the chicas there, and three had great attitudes (one was awful, and I should have seen that in her eyes before I jumped at her cute cola). This might be the cleanest casa in the Centro, and so far I have gotten the same room with private bath on all six visits.

Other clean casas include Valkyrias at Azara 905 (mentioned by Tammak) and PYEscorts at Cerro Cora 462 (mentioned by Britisher). The rooms are older, but the floors, walls, and bathing areas are clean. The chicas at Valkyrias tend not to be quite as pretty as those at Parada 838, Lilith, and PYEscorts, but most (not all) have had great attitudes. And there is always the chance of getting the university girl who tries this out for a week and decides it is not for her. I like the room with the private bath. PYEscorts seems to be the classiest place in the Centro (but I have never been to Gozanos because they lack enthusiasm on the telephone). PYEscorts encourages the chica to display themselves in attractive street clothes: dresses or jeans. Frankly, I like that more than the cheap lingerie you see at low-end places; the girls look like the gorgeous girls you see working in the banks and shopping in the malls. To each his own. I have also had some good experiences at New Elite at 217 Cerro Cora (cited by Britisher above). Here I am not sure if they change the sheets regularly, but there is at least one room with a private bath.

You might think I am a little obsessive on the cleanliness issue. Maybe I am. On the other hand, I think that a clean casa attracts the classy kind of chica that i want to spend time with. Imagine working in a place all day that smells, with foul floors, cobwebs, used sheets, and smudge marks around door handles -- who would do it?

I have been to some other places in the Centro on this trip, but I will stop with the above recommendations. If this report is helpful in any way, please post or PM. As we all know, this site is moribund, but I have found it very useful on past trips. I don't have a need to discuss my exploits, but I do believe that the sharing of information can be very helpful, sometimes. Each of us is looking for something a little different. Day two.

Wanted to check a second site. Checked the hot dot com dot py. Valkirias. There was no address on the website. Luckily I had purchased the pre paid for my phone as well as the ipad. Tigo seems to be the decent provider of prepaids. You need a passport with you when you purchase the sim card.

Anyway opened up one of the Valkiria models and called the number (land line) provided for her. You need to dial also the digits in brackets. The number goes to the studio. Same number for all models.

With my limited spanish I understood the address: Azara 905. However did not understand the instructions for entre.

Took a taxi, gave him the address. This was not accurate enough so called again on the way and passed the phone to the driver, ok. Upen entering the address the driver asked me to stay in the car and he went to check the route. He told me to go to the second floor and ring the bell on apartment A, which I did.

My experience is that 90% of the chicas I have seen in the departamentos are fresh, clean, and eager because even some of the most attractive have to sit around and wait for hours on some days. I would say that about 2/3 are actually quite horny, and I do know the physiological signs of arousal in women so I am not talking about fake moans (the noise a woman makes is the least reliable sign of arousal, but she cannot fake blood flow and certain neurological reflexes).

You can improve your odds of getting a fresh, horny, lovely young chica by showing up at 9:30 or 10:15 AM at one of the departamentos that are open at 9 or 10 after being closed all night. These daytime-only departamentos are much less common than the 24-hour brothels (this is different from Buenos Aires where so many of the apartamentos close at night). Another strategy is to show up at 11:30 AM. In this way you can take advantage of two different phenomena: the most attractive chicas know that they can show up late for work without getting fired so they are totally fresh, and, secondly, some of the chicas who did show up to work on time (these tend to be newly hired, which is nice) often had an unsatisfactory sexual experience that just left them horny for someone who knows what he is doing. Several chicas in this frustrated situation have expressed real gratitude. Most (but not all) of these are just discovering their sexuality without that hardness that so often comes over the months. My advice is to get there before noon, when the local businessmen start going on their lunch breaks, which peaks at about 1 PM. The more chicas in the line-up, the more they want your company and that can carry over into the room.

This strategy does not work in the 24-hour departamentos. Mornings are down-times in the lunes a lunes and lunes a sabado departamentos. Saturday mornings can be great, but I have totally given up on Sundays and holidays. The lunes a lunes 24-hour places frequently are closed all day on Sunday even though they advertise to be open. If they are open, the least attractive chicas keep very busy, much too busy for the chicas to have any fun. If a woman cannot have some fun with me, I have wasted time and money. The best I can do on Sunday is to persuade one of the weekday departamento girls to visit me at my apartment. If she does so, she is working on her own without the knowledge of their proprietaria because officially take-out does not occur when the departamento is closed.

Other guys say you can get fresh chicas in the 24-hour departamentos during the week or Saturday by showing up at the shift change, some time between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. I believe these guys, but I have failed to master the elusive shift change strategy. When I call departamentos, the proprietaria consistently lies about the chicas and their work schedules. If I just show up, it is hit or miss, often miss. As for the start of the day shift, it is a mystery to me. It seems that the chicas start work at random times; I have never found fresh chicas before noon at the 24-hour places (but maybe I should keep trying).

I am biased in my preference for daytime-only departamentos, so take the following with some skepticism. My experience is that the daytime-only-departamento chicas are more likely to be drug-free, non-alcoholic, healthy, urbane, educated and intelligent than the chicas in the 24-hour joints. Many work out in gyms, and you can feel it in their muscle tone of the belly, ass, and legs. Many are students or have plans to enter a university (this is not bullshit because they can discuss their fields and plans intelligently). Some report having boyfriends who are kept in the dark. It seems that only about half have kids, whereas it seems that almost all the chicas in the 24-hour places had a kid by age 16. Daytime-only chicas are trying to avoid drunken, insensitive men even if it inhibits their income somewhat. But I have not been successful, in Paraguay, in Argentina, in Costa Rica, or in Canada. I find that the woman and I experience peak pleasure on the first, second, or third encounter. I will send you a private message with the contact information of the woman who rented me the apartment. She has a small operation, with about 10 furnished apartments to rent, and she prefers to rent for a full year so short-term rentals are not a priority for her. I met her through a Swiss-Argentine fellow I met at a restaurant. I can also send you the name of the woman who owns a single apartment that I rented twice. I abandoned her because she kept raising the rent 20% on every trip I made. Maybe she has learned her lesson. If you contact her, please do not refer to me.

Both apartments were nice, in secure buildings, on upper floors. My biggest problem with el centro in Asuncion is the autobuses that blast through streets. So an apartment on an upper floor is a great escape from the noise and the smell.

I found my first apartment through Clasipar, in the section on clasipar. Com, in the section departamento alquiler. At least two other newspapers have ads for apartment rentals: ABC Clasificados and Ultimahora Clasificados. A few of these ads specify rental by the week or month, but most are seeking annual leases.

People disagree about the potential dangers of el centro. During the day there is no problem that I have seen even though you see lots of police and guards with nasty-looking weapons (or maybe because you see lots of police and guards with weapons). The real danger during the day is that some jerk is going to run you over with a truck, a bus, or an SUV (lots of very fancy cars in such a supposedly poor country). Drivers pay no attention to pedestrians. None. At night I am more careful in Asuncion than when walking in the microcenter or barrio norte in Buenos Aires. Some streets are well-lit with police. Others look sketchy. I have been told to watch out for guys on motorbikes at night. The taxistas seem physically safe, but some will try to cheat you (I have been cheated in BA too). By the way, night taxis are 30% more than the meter reading, so don't think you are cheated by the additional 30. I would never walk around obviously drunk at night because I think that would attract bad actors. On the other hand, I would say that Asuncion is much safer at night than downtown San Jose Costa Rice or Quito Ecuador. At any rate, you can always call a taxi to avoid walking around at night, and I think that makes you quite safe.

What everyone says about Asuncion: don't get into fights with the locals, and don't humiliate anyone. Everyone talks about the Paraguayan's drive to defend his honor, and many guys walk around with knives in their pockets.

As for noise, the buses are the worst, but there are also fireworks and horns blaring into the night after any futbol game. How they love their futball. In Buenos Aires a great time to chase the chicas is during a futball game because there is no male competition, but in Asuncion all the chicas are watching the futball too and they don't want to work.

Is the Centro area noisy or dangerous? Website for short term renting apartments that might be reliable? Any suggestions on sim cards. Are they available at the airport (I understand some 4-5 cell companies-any suggestions: all the same? Claro, tigo, personal. Etc?).

Hey guys. I'm looking to make a trip in mid August to late August. I haven't been to before so I need a little advice. Which hotels can you suggest for faster internet than 3g? Also, how stable is the 3g network there? Besides that I would like to meet up with anyone to hit the apartments together as I'm going solo.
