Posts: 583Good self study, I don't want to bore myself or anyone on this board too much by going to deep but the point in my earlier post was to suggest not writing "long" texts that overshoot one message, regardless of whether they contain special characters or not.

Posts: 1185There has been a few rare instances where she doesn't get my texts but honestly they are always at moments when it seems like she is trying to cover something up. So she's either lying that she didn't receive them or its just a big coincidence that happens to work totally in her favor. I've never checked her phone before and honestly I'd be afraid to cause I know she uses it to text other clients and if I saw those texts then I would go off the edge in jealousy. I know it's stupid but what can I do? : (
Anyways, the lost text isn't so much a problem as is the text that gets split up into separate messages, so I did a bit of research and it seems that international lines don't like half-width alphanumeric letters and numbers. Not really sure what that means but it says to keep them to less than 70 characters when using them.
I played around with my iphone and already have character counting for text messaging set to on. This means that when I write a text message it counts to 160 and lets me know if I go over that limit. But what I noticed this time around is that once I add special characters such as "íéü" the character count changes to 70 instead of being 160. So I guess this means that if I use those type of characters (half-width alphanumeric) in my text messages I'm limited to 70 letters instead of 160. So now I will avoid those characters. Incidentally, ñ doesn't count as a half-width alphanumeric.
Hopefully someone can test and verify this.

So the problem is either you send lengthy sms to her from stateside, or you send her lengthy sms from mexico. Both situations she doesn't get everything?
It could be a number of reasons including network issue, and phone issue, but if she is the recipient, it is likely network issue.
If she is the sender of lengthy sms (which most chicas don't seem to do) , then it would like likely be a phone problem.
Sending lengthy sms from mexico using US phone is most likely to have problems

Posts: 1185Does anyone know what the text limit is for those crappy pre-paid XOXO cell phones that the chicas use? My novia has one and she complains that my text's always come in parts and are hard to read. I never go over the 160 character limit but even then they are split up. Is the text limit shorter in mexico? Could it be that I use special characters in the text like ñ and those count as double or something? Anyone have experience with one of these phones?

Thanks for the replies. Also missed another request. I am planning to come by car. Is Jack in the box still a better place to park after the border entry change.

Posts: 360I also have been looking at CL casual encounters, and sexytijuana. Com. Most of the ads are the same from the two sites, and many more on sexyt. How many people have experience with those 2 sites and how accurate are the photos. Hopefully, I will be going there soon, so I would like to know if they are worth it. Some of the pictures are real nice. Alot of nice bodies.

First, have to give props to M C Hammer, member of this august board, for tipping me off to CL.
Anyway, for kicks one day I started fishing around. Started looking for some MILF-ish ladies who were looking for a good time and a bit of extra dough. Didn't take long and got several responses.
First out of the chute was a sweet mid-30s lady. Tall, thin, bubbly personality. We met for a couple of beers a week, or so, ago, for the sniff test. I guess we both passed. We'll get together in another week or so.
Second was a good looking morena. I set things up for this weekend. Long story short, the * (rhymes with witch) stood me up. Oh, well. Can't win 'them all.
I hadn't had time to fully cultivate numbers 3 and 4. I made a stab, but 3 had to work late and 4 lived in Ensenada. OMG.
So, back to trusty CL. Did some fishing. Didn't get a response for a bit, I was worried that I'd miss my dinner reservations. So, I called a previous working girl I'd found on CL to see if she wanted dinner. Of course, right as I'm finishing up on the phone, my email goes off. A CL response. D'oh. And she included a couple of fuzzy nude and semi nude pix. Double D'oh!
I'd already committed, so I had to go to dinner with the hooker lady. She's fun to be around, and she's very passionate in la cama. But, as she makes her living that way, she's all business and tends to watch the clock. And expects to be paid by the hour. I don't hold that against her, so I won't identify her here. But that's not what I was looking for. So, when she wanted to come upstairs after dinner, but also wanted a bunch more money, I cut her loose. I counted out her money and gave it to her. Then she re-counted it. I hate that.
For kicks, I went to my room and relaxed for a minute. Then, on a wild hair, I called my CL response. She answered and we chatted for a bit. She said she was now getting ready for bed, as it was about 10:30. I wheedled a bit and convinced her to come see me for a quick drink. BTW, excellent English.
She showed up about 45 minutes later. Fascinating. You'd never say she was beautiful, but she's not homely. Afro-Caribbean extraction. A rack that wouldn't quit, flat belly, a bubble butt to die for.
We walked off to some Calle 6 places, had a few beers, went to Sabor Latino for some dancing. Man, she knows how to shake it to salsa music. She warmed up nicely and we hit it off pretty well.
We headed back to the hotel about 2-ish. I knew she had to work in the morning, so wasn't expecting much. But she followed me upstairs. Next thing I knew we were in the shower. Nice. Lots of passionate kissing seems to be her thing.
I won't bore everybody with the details, but she's not bad in the sack. Very quiet, but very affectionate. After all was said and done, she said she really had to get home because she had to work in the morning. I pulled out what I had in my pocket, which I think was 800 or 900 pesos, and put it in her hand. She didn't count it, but smiled and thanked me and put it into her purse. We never discussed amounts or dickered over price, unlike my dinner companion. Much less stress.
Anyway, dumbass me didn't insist on a room away from Las Pulgas. So, it was hard to sleep for the next hour or so.
In the morning I was puttering around packing up. The phone rang about 10:30. I thought it was weird that the front desk would call so early. But it was my friend. She had some appointments cancel on her and she was in the area. Cool.
BTW, she has a regular job, but business is slow so she makes a bit of money on the side, as it were.
So, we wandered around a bit, had some breakfast, and talked business. It turns out we share some common business interests. Who knew? She had to go off to some other appointments, I was out of money and time. So, I slipped her a few extra pesos I had, for which she seemed very happy. She's a keeper.
All in all, a pretty good weekend. Tijuana is never boring if you do it right. And how great is this newfangled thing they call the Internet? You can meet up with nice people, have a nice time partying with locals at local prices, avoid pesky meseros, eliminate overpriced ficha drinks. What's not to like?

I know this isn't a food blog, so I'll keep it short.
Just wanted to report that I had dinner there on Friday and the food was as good, or better, than my last visit.
The 4-course tasting menu is some of the best food you'll likely encounter on either side of the border. At 400 pesos per person it's a helluva bargain. And the cocktails upstairs in Bar 20 are great. Interesting mixtures, top shelf booze, for 80 pesos.
One warning. They now have a specialty mescal cart they bring around before the appetizer. It's really good, but each shot averages 180 pesos (which they don't mention until the bill arrives). So you can double your dinner tab in short order. It may be reasonable for high end mescal, I don't know. It did taste pretty good!
