I'm a new member and this is my first official post even though I have been following the forum for a few months now. I must confess I do feel that I should have started posting my experiences from a few months ago but with work commitments I struggled to get around to it. If you don't want to pay very much you can try the Royal Olympic Hotel (about 550 UAH in booking.com). It is situated between the Rus and President hotel. Some taxi drivers had a problem to find this place. No nice view from the windows, but not as bad as the reviews that I found in the internet. Absolutely not. Clean and with new, luxurious looking furniture. I had no problem to bring a girl thru the front door. But you can also use the back door entrance. This is the entrance to the restaurant and the floor behind that door will lead you directly to the hotel-elevators. Without any control.

Same here, when I am in Kiev I don't do thrift. No Wizz Air, but prices flying from Amsterdam ain't that bad. Plus Schiphol is only about 30 minutes away from where I live. Ambrazura is about 30 minutes drive from the center with no traffic jams. And cab fares in Kiev are ridiculous, with what I pay in Holland for one taxi ride I can fund almost like a week's worth in Kiev. I don't think that trying out Ambrazura is such a big risk, while I am typing this I also feel a bit doubt whether I should post this, cause perhaps it is better if Ambrazura won't become that popular with foreign tourists.

The driver was a young guy who didn't speak a word of English. Reception at my hotel recommended a company who did a quote on call, ie you tell them where to, when, route. They give you the quote on the phone plus the rate for waiting if you are going to hop on&off on your Taxi ride. They had the lowest minimum price as well.

Driver turned up on time, young who didn't speak a word of English and my Russian is limited to 3 words. . I wanted to go to Tixi omut strip club on the other side of the Dnipro. When we got there, he wanted to wait 4 me in his cab. I said no. No, you come with me, Strip Tease KLOB, all in English.

He understood fully. His eyes nearly popped out when we took 2 private dances with 2 beautiful strippers.
