As for the 3 or 4 stars rating, it is a complete joke. Would not even give them 1 star no all of them based on European standards.
Its a joke and blasphemy to call these hotels a 4 star hotel.

Take the best of them Phoenicia hotel where action is the best. I know this hotel for more than a dozen times!

The same shadows, same darkness, same smell, same dirty furniture and lousy sanitary!

Somebody will say so why did you go there in the first place!

Correct. Only because of the action.

I agree with the fact that the MP's seem to be doing their best to ban alcohol outright. It is typical of the region that, despite the fact that it would totally cripple the economy in Bahrain, some big-bearded, short-thobed, fundamentalist morons regularly decide that alcohol is 'haram' and decide to try to ban it.

The problem occurs when the more liberal MPs can't speak out and say that it is a totally dumb idea because they would be branded by the morons as 'bad muslims' which they don't want.

This then means that, with regular monotony, the 'ban' gets thrown up to the Shura council (remember this is the one appointed by the King and has a number of shrewd businessmen on it) who then mull over it until it is too late to do anything and decide that it is 'unconstitutional' or 'doesn't allow for other nationalities' (who outnumber the Bahrainis, especially in the workforce) and so contravenes their 'human rights. ' The 'ban' then gets thrown back to the parliament for revision at such a late stage that they can't do anything about it in the current session. And so it starts all over again.

Thank God, that there are more rational minds in the Shura to prevent the multiple morons in the parliament from getting their way. Such as with the ban on expats driving (that actually went up to the king who quashed it), and other mindless proclaimations.

As far as I'm concerned, booze will never be banned in Bahrain, and the hookers will move (if the three star ban is imposed) to four star premises. The apartments that supply harlots will carry on as usual and, apart from a shuffle around, the situation will stay roughly the same.

This is my hope. Sorry for the rant.

    Cheers,

    Expatcat.

Filtering 3 star from the 4 star hotels

I'm a little confused as how to accurately tell which hotel is 3 star of 4 star. Is the ranking on say booking.com accurate? It says Mashtan and Gulf Pearl hotel are 4 star but I wouldn't give them more than 3 any day.

However, I don't believe that it will have a big negative effect on general mongering since the Phoenica Hotel, Pars in Juffair and Delmon in Manama are all 4 star properties. Since a lot of general mongering also continues in furnished apartments in Hoora and Juffair, this probably won't be affected either. It will take a great deal more than a dumb law on the part of the government to stamp out prostitution. It will just move around a bit more...
    Too sad to hear that.

I am not sure what are the plans of the government? Are they trying to have more 4 star hotels or maybe more control on mongering!!

Anyway, there are 40 4-star hotels in Manama and about 25 3-star hotels, which I believe have the majority of nightlife businesses.

I will be posting reports on September.

Any ideas how this will affect the Barain scene and wich joints are affected?

Accessibility might become an issue for some as those going to only 3 stars would need to shift.

After a full year I was planning for a weekend stop over in Bahrain in August so I can't really thank you enough for the heads up.

    Damn

Agree ExpatCat, it should not dramatically change the mongering scene.

I have checked the 3 stars hotels on the web and I feel indeed sorry for the Metropolitan hotel (F1 club, pool bar and Indian cabaret).

But I am very sad to see that Concord hotel is also concerned. This one is a major spot for Ethio girls. You can expect a tsunami of Ethio ladies shifting from Concord to Pars and Florida hotel. For those who are into black ladies like me.

I just feel sorry for the poor sods who own the properties who have been given bugger all notification. Why the government hasn't just clamped down on the venues who they think are misbehaving and ordered them to clean up their act, I don't know. A blanket ban on all the properties does seem a tad draconian. It will affect a number of the hotels along Exhibtion road and possibly put up to 45 three star hotels out of business. Very similar to the ban a number of years ago on the one and two star properties. 28 suffered very badly and a number closed.

So much for the much vaunted 'business friendly' Bahrain. Another nail in that particular coffin.

    Cheers.

She is an absolute beauty and we she asked me to spend couple of days with her, I could not refuse.

Could you please tell me which hotel are green during Ramadan?

She would stay with me for 2 full days.

If the hotel on top of being green is affordable, well located and has decent price that would be great!
Perhaps you can share the name of the spa?

The Ramee hotels are green, the K hotel is green.

    A 1 h-150 bd.

Q asked for full night with dinner and could be breakfast possibility.

    A 24 h-2400 bd.

Here I was perplexed, maybe she was mistaken so I said maybe 240 and not 2400 bd.

A hhhhhh with who? With animals?

So my answer was that I am glad you send this message which convinced me with whom I am dealing and her answer:

A you right dear. Not open this web site anymore, this is for rich people!

Then I wished her good night.

Even I told her that a friend (you) said that the rate is 120 BHD. She didn't comment.
