I've taken the bus from San Jose to Jaco, cost was 2,445 colons, about $4. 65. The bus leaves downtown San Jose from the Coca Cola Bus Station. It took a little over 2 hours. Here is a link with information & a schedule. http://surfinjaco.com/costa-rica-bus-schedules/.

Posts: 263Cocal, room available for (2) nights April 10 and 11
Room at the Cocal is available this Friday and Saturday night.
I had one of my clients who has had to reschedule his trip to Costa Rica for a month, so his room at the Cocal is available this Friday and Saturday night 4/10 & 4/11. I hate to cancel the reservation because I know how hard it is to get a room there on the weekend. It's a parking lot room (I think it's the best value) $275.16 total, taxes included. O. L. The. VIP members get a $37.17 discount for a total of $237.99. Pm Me if interested, let me know ASAP. I will cancel the reservation on Tuesday if nobody wants the room. Thanks.

Posts: 263Spring break in Jaco, Komomo's, Centerfold's and the Cocal
Just got back picking up a couple of college spring breakers from the and. J. Area, who stayed in Jaco for a week. Got to love the young guys who book hotels on their own. They paid in advance with travelosity and split a 2 bed hotel room at the Blue Palm. Man did this bring back memories when when had to put as many guys in a room in Panama City Beach, Florida. Anyways, picked them up at 7:30 this morning and headed back to SJO. I love new guys because they usually shoot straight from the hip, when it comes to detailing their new adventure. A few things I found out are. 1. Never stay at the Blue Palms. (I already knew this but the guys had pre-paid) $20 chica fee. 2. No secret that Cocal is like the Del Rey on steriods. They said on Thursday night, there must have been 200 ladies there and maybe 30 guys. Standing room only. 3. It's a buyers market in Jaco as well. They never paid more than $60 at the Cocal. Friday night was awesome as well. They arrived last Saturday night and the Cocal was off the chain then as well. 4. The new Kokomo's Sports Bar and Grill has Margarita's for $1 from 4-7 pm Monday. Friday. Only a few bucks and these young gents were lit. 5. Centerfolds is now open and these 2 young guys received the VIP treatment on opening night for free. So did all the other guest. Free booze to boot. 6. The 4 hour ATV tour was awesome. Went to the waterfall, took a dip and had a great fresh Talapia lunch. I've never had anyone to claim otherwise. And finally 7. Manuel Antonio is worth seeing, however the monkeys are mean. I've experienced that one myself.
I recommended that they NOT tell their friends and college classmates about their experience. It will ruin it for the rest of us old geezers. Can you imagine what might happen to Jaco, during the month of March, if all these young men figure out, there is other places to go besides Florida? I mean you can get good airfares from the and. E. , ($360 Southwest are. T.) moderately price rooms and smoking hot women that you can actually rent by the hour for $60? It's no wonder they are already planning their next spring break trip, minus the Blue Palms.

Posts: 23Costa Rica trip Report--First Stop Jaco
Just returned from 6 nights in Costa Rica. My first trip and had a great time. I've been to The Philippines and Indonesia-- both of which I loved-- and I did not expect that CR would be as good. And while I still prefer Asia-- this was better than expected.
Took a nonstop Delta flight from LAX to San Jose-- while this is a red eye-- this is the best way to get to Costa Rica from Los Angeles-- about a 6 hour flight. Arrived in San Jose about 6:30 Am -- picked up by our driver-- quickly through customs and then had breakfast nearby. Our plan was to first head to Jaco. It takes about 1. 5 hours to get to Jaco from the airport. We decided to check out a crocodile tour along the way-30 and very much worth it.
Also bought a local SIM card for $4 which included about an hour of time. Much better than getting gouged by AT&T.
We arrive at our condo in Jaco about 2:00 PM. We rented a 3 bedroom at the Monaco -- right in the middle town--near lots of restaurants and bars. Price was reasonable at $192/ night for one of the higher units with a view. Very reasonable when split three ways for a large, modern and comfortable unit. Couple of nice pools. Great place to bring the chicas. They charge you $10 when you bring in a chica. Took a nap after that overnight flight-.
Thursday evening--Headed over to Cocal hotel and Casino about 6:00 pm -- this is the place to go in Jaco. When we got there. Probably 50 to 60 chicas in all shapes and sizes, Ticas, Nicas, Dominicanas, and Colombians. I suppose the Colombians are the best looking-- but all had bolt ONS and I found them a bit too hard core for me. Ticas are a close second followed by the Nicas and Dominicanas.
That first night I had two Nicas and then three nights with different Ticas. The looks and bodies of the girls at Cocal were all over the place-- lots of fat chicks -- and some absolutely drop dead gorgeous ones. Ranged from 3's to 9's.
Things really get rolling at Cocal by 8:00 pm at least on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights --there must be 150+ girls at the peak. Lots to choose from. You need to approach the better looking ones-- the less desirable will be all over you. Drinks can be expensive at Cocal so you don't want to get into the habit of buying them drinks before you determine that they might be worthwhile. Like anywhere, determining attitude is key. I don't really like to over negotiate what they will do-- you can usually tell. And I don't negotiate price that much-- if they demand too much, then I just say no thanks and move on. There was this great looking Colombiana-- blonde hair -- banging body--and while her attitude was not that great-- little head was saying lets do this. When it came to dinero, she wanted $150 for one hour. Given the not so great attitude, I would not agree-- so we just parted ways--I doubt if it would have been that good anyway.
On that first night (Thursday) I hooked up with two Nicas. Should have stuck with this one crazy fun chick-- lots of personality-- would rate at a 7 in looks- but was persuaded to take her and her friend. Both were older 30 and 31. Spent a couple of hours back at the condo-- Nicas love to fuck! Everything covered including CBJ. Had a rocking good time with those two. Had agreed upon $80 but Gave each of them $100.
Next day (Friday) did the zip line thing-- worth it even though it seemed expensive at $70. After dinner checked out the Beatle bar-- very close to our condo. It was early-- about 7:00-- but just a handful of fat chicas. We did not return to Beatle. Walked down to Cocal -- Friday night and again things were rockin. Hooked up with a Tica with braces and a great spinner body. Back at the condo-- very mechanical-- she was not into it and we were done in no time, Cost $100-- waste of $$. Even forgot her name.
Next day (Saturday) slept in-- had planned on visiting Manuel Antonio park-- but deferred till the next day. About 3:00 pm. Back to Cocal-- not that many chicas -- maybe 30-- most 6 and below. Started talking with this cute Tica Spent a couple of hours with her at the bar. Really clicked. Smart, pretty face, natural Tatas and smooth hairless skin. A little chubby but not too much. She was from San Jose and called herself Milady. Agreed upon $150 for two hours-- definitely on the high end. We scheduled a date for 8:00 pm --she actually arrived by 9:00 and stayed till 11:30 Absolutely great. Enthusiastic and DTF. Only negatives were the CBJ and LFK. CBJ does seem to be the norm here. I really liked this girl. Got her number as she was heading back home to San Jose the next day--and we were going to be there in a couple of days. BTW she goes to Cocal just about every other weekend.
Sunday-- went to Manuel Antonio-- great place-- although rather crowded on a Sunday. Try to get Miguel as your guide. Lots and lots of walking-- the good guides can spot all sorts of animals with their scopes, sloths, monkeys, raccoons, bats, a variety of birds, etc. Very worth the effort.
Returned to Jaco and headed to the Cocal again that evening. Not as crowded -- maybe 75 to 100 at peak. As I walked around for the umpteenth time, met up with this GND chica who actually lives in JAco. Alicia is first rate-- smart, cute, and nice figure. She has a daughter and is 26. She loves to DFK and is great in the sack. If I was back in Jaco, she would be worth a repeat. Agreed upon $120 for an hour+ She had her own car so not even a need for a taxi back to the condo. Her roommate --Luisa-- hooked up with my buddy and they had a great time. This was our last night in Jaco and we had a great time with these girls.
Three good restaurants in Jaco we ate at-- Kaya, Graffiti and Anuncios. Had breakfast every day at Sunrise-- good and reasonable.
Will post another report from our time in San Jose.

Okay, so no bites on the Tuanis, so let me pose this question: anyone have any luck with the people renting out their condos on Airbnb?
Some go for under 100 with good reviews. I could merely ask if I can bring a "friend" back with me, should I meet one.
Any thoughts?

Anyone have any info on this place? Read somewhere that the security guard is cool as long as you're discrete (which I am). Looking to confirm.
Thank you!
