From 300 K to 400 K adds up to a 33 1/3 % increase. Seems a little steep to me.

I remember when in the past it went from 2000 pesos per dollar to 1800,and no one lowered their prices to make up for the more money the tourist had to spend for the same service.

I see another poster says the inflation rate is around 4% in Colombia. Myself I would look for greener pastures. Don't be surprised if your Favorita sees the light when you decide to look else where for your sleep in partner.

I've been going to MDE since 2009. For Mansion and former Mansion girls, I have accepted the 150 k COP for ST, and 300 k COP price for TLN. I have been doing TLN with a certain favorita of mine for 300 COP for 3-4 years now. However, as I started to communicate with her in preparation for my trip next week, she told me the TLN price is now 400 COP.

I haven't acknowledged or reacted to that bit of news, yet. But my initial reaction was "what gives?

But then I started thinking, the peso is a lot weaker than it used to be. I recall trips were I got as little as 1,780 to the dollar, and others were I felt lucky that I came down when it was 2,240 to the dollar. I generally figured it was easier to keep things square in my head thinking 2,000 = $1, and was disappointed when it was less, elated when it was a little more.

If I go down there next week and get more than 2,500 cop, I guess it is keeping with the 25% devaluation.

Inflation appears to be running around 4% on an annualized basis and looks to be heating up a bit. But overall, it's been pretty moderate by Latin American standards. Might be time to find some new favoritas.

The relevant factor is not the exchange rate between the peso and the dollar, because chicas aren't spending dollars. The relevant factor is, or at least should be, the rate of peso inflation.

Although the dollar is strong, yes this is a problem for trade / commerce on the international market, but for the average Colombian the buying power of their peso buys about the same as it did last year. What gives?

I am not sure how Colombian banks work but wouldn't a teller. With so much experience handling money be able to tell a fake bill and reject it? Don't they also have machines that checks the bills when you deposit? Unless a bank employee was doing it intentionally, how many times can he possibly get away with it? I doubt the bank would intentionally do it, because after a couple of times, there would be so many complaints that I am sure there would be a government investigation into the bank.

Well I find your report a little bit odd about your Casa experience but who knows maybe it was just a very bad day for you.

I am curious though about your experience in Parque LLeras. I was there about three weeks ago on a Saturday night around midnight and noticed some doable girls with their friends some of which came up to me and asked me if I was interested in having sex with them, while others in pairs and groups who where looking at me and waiting to be approached. I was also approached by vendors asking if I needed anything from drugs to girls as well. An ATM may NOT Accept fake bills but it could issue fake bills. If someone goes into a bank and deposits money, some fake bills and not using the ATM. The ATMs are loaded manually by employees and there are no checks there. So, you can get fake bills from an ATM.

Final Verdict. This place is for those who want to imagine that they are getting to fuck some really hot clean girl in a superior surroundings. When in reality its the same old thing in a better package and offering zero pleasure. I suggest to avoid this place.

I guess. I will try internet girls and maybe go to some more different casas. But overall disappointed with the casa scene. I was at Parque Lleras on Saturday night. Midnight and saw at least 15 doable non pro girls with their friends. So its not that I am oblivious to the beauty of Paisas but I did not see that beauty in any of the casas I visited. I remember sighting some wonderful looking Paisas (working girls) in my time at Cartagena and thought to myself that in Medellin there will be a plethora of them in every nook and corner avbl. Thanks for the review. At these casas you can't expect too much for 30 k-35 k (about $14 USD). They are very hit or miss in terms of looks. BBBJ can be had for free sometimes or 10-20 k tip. Kissing is rare. For better girls you might want to check out Energy or Abydos. The prices are a bit more. Around 120 k for the hour. Of course the tips for BBBJ might be more too. What a lot of guys are looking for is the diamond in the rough that have not been too hardened with gringos yet and invite them back to their place for more time.
