LC has been recruiting a lot more slimmer girls lately. In fact there are about 5 on par with HK girls and provide better service than HK. I prefer LC to HK as the girls to me seem more jaded. You probably cannot get a drink in a Tijuana bar, nor a ride in a Tijuana taxi, for 5 pesos (which is 32 cents).

It was my understanding that the cost of an overnight room at Hotel Coahuila (above Adelitas Bar) was running around $45 US plus refundable key deposit.

It costs more to rent their Jacuzzi room for just a few hours.

-Hotels allow you to take girls from their bar to their hotels. So no Adelita girls to Cascadas and vice-versa- no HK girls to Adelitas hotel. But some bars are owned by same company and those rules apply. Unless you can sweet talk them into doing it in their off time or that they sneak it. But since you can't speak spanish it's doubtful.

-If you click with any girl just ask her to come up when her shift is over. They show up on time, or a few hours later if they are making the rounds after work. It does not matter if they are living there or not. Google translator is your friend. I usually stick with girls who speak enough english to get by.

Dollars, 1 US dollar equals 14 pesos in most of the clubs. The exchange rate at the border was 15.850 yesterday. I always use pesos.

I researched the issue some more. Manufacturers mix all sort of chemicals to render the drinks darker colors. Those chemicals cause the hang overs and other ill effects. The clear drinks are less likely to cause hangovers.

Looks like the red Malbec was the culprit. Most Malbecs have that bitter chemical / medicinal taste similar to the cheap bulk wines produced in California. It's not the bitter taste of grapes, more likely chemicals.

I heard from many good sources, that in most Asian countries, the expensive liquors, cognacs, scotches, whiskeys etc. Are all counterfeits, imitated local brews spiked with chemicals and refilled in bottles with fake labels. Even brand name beers like Heineken are local fakes refilled in bottles.

When travel overseas, it's safer to avoid all local drinks, fruit juices, wines, draft beers and liquors. Drink only major and popular beer brands in the cans as they are more difficult to counterfeit and tamper with. The cans can be filled and sealed only by machines. They are harder to fake.

Back in college a buddy was puking what looked to be black oil after mixing red wine and beer. We though he was going to die because he looked like an alien was trying to pop out of his chest. As far as I know, one can mix alcohol unless it's red wine.

Went to Tijuana for the 1st time, spent most the night in Hong Kong, walked there from the border and taxi back. Begining of the night was not so great, I sat down and was watching the show when some guy with a whistle started pouring tequila in my mouth. F#$k that guy, my game was off the rest of the night. Anyways I was not entirely sure how everything worked, it took quite awhile before I realized that you can go up to any girl and ask her if she wants a drink. I'm young and good looking so I had a harder time with the younger girls because they seemed a little inimidated by me (or maybe they intimidated me, who knows I was fairly drunk.) Turns out I enjoy the older women with the big tits and asses so it worked out.

I have a few questions though:

1) I would pick out a girl and buy her 1 drink, we would go sit down and I would get to fondle the heck out of her. Let's look at this from the girl's standpoint.

The ficha drinks are a lot like foreplay. It's a good way to "get to know" the girl a bit. If you get along well at the table, chances are that you'll get along well upstairs. And sometimes it can be fun (albeit expensive) to just hang out and drink / chat with the girl.

Now my point is that the girl gets a whopping 30 pesos from every ficha drink. That's about $2 in real money. YMMV, but if you start pawing the groping the girl, she might reasonably expect to go upstairs as a "payoff" for the grope session. I can see where getting groped and fondled for 5 minutes straight, then kicked to the curb, for a $2 payout, might be off-putting to some girls. Now I wasn't there, and I'm not suggesting that you did that, but if you did, I can understand the reactions. All of the girls who work there are hookers and are available for sex. However, not all of them like to be treated like a piece of meat. Some permit/tolerate/like to be groped in the bar, others do not. Buying a ficha is not carte blanche to do anything you want to with the girl.

As others have said, there are lots of girls who go around with the sole purpose of getting groped for $1 tips. I think they may do all right by the end of a shift. These girls are probably a better choice if you just want to do some touchy-feely action.

The Tequila guy rents that expensive job, going around squirting watered-down Tequila down your throat, squirting beer in, then shaking your head to make you drunk. He keeps all propinas for that job. I usually give him $3.

A few times a night, they would have the tequila guys on stage with a few girls. They would pull people on stage and give out free tequila shots while having the girls sitting on the guys' faces. Hehe. It's nasty but fun.

One night I drank half a bottle of red Argentinian Malbec at Cheripan steak house, went to HK and had may be 2 beers, then a couple shots of their tequila. For the next 2 nights, my stomach was aching like I was carrying a load of bricks. I was unable to eat or drink for 2 days and nights and felt terrible. Something in my body, may be my liver, was poisoned and shut down. I did not know what caused it and what happened. It was a very serious illness. I could have died from it without food and fluids if it dragged out longer.

I had tequila mixed with beers many times before without ill effects. So it could have been the Malbec by itself, or in mixture with the tequila that poisoned and shut down my digestion system. Ever since I stayed off tequila shots. Have not had any Malbec either. Most Malbec are bitter like the cheap chemical wines produced in California. I prefer smoother wines.

Read in the news, 2 young, strong, healthy college guys 18 YO went to a country in Asia and had a drinking binge of the local snake liquor. The next day both were found dead in bed. Locals sometimes mix insecticides in their brew to enhance the buzz. But excessive consumption may kill you. So be careful what you drink on the road. Stick to canned beers as the cans cannot be easily counterfeited or tampered with.
