For my first outing on my last trip to Shanghai I decided on Bodi. It is quit the trek from the Bund and Nanjing Rd where I was staying. Was told it opened early, so I showed up at around 11 am. Sign on the door said opened at 12. So I walked around for an hour. Not much around this place just allot of residences. Came back at 12 and they were having a staff meeting. Not the providers just the locker boys and reception girls. I walk in and say Hi. Everybody laughed. It was pretty awkward. One of the guys rolls his eyes and takes me to the shower. Usual shower procedure then off to the relaxing room. Offered a drink and told I would be waiting till 1 pm. At about 1:10 they come get me and lead me down the hall with three local guys in front of me. Was told I would pick after them. In the room you are face to face with the girls probably 20 about 10 ft away. Again kinda awkward. Felt lucky the local guys didn't take the one I wanted. Cute little spinner with As. Back to room and to the table shower. Pretty good Nuru but definitely robotic. With BBBJ preview. Dried off then to the bed. Small kind massage with teasing, then like ten min of full on rimming (best part) then she lays down and just wants mish. Tried to LFK, no dice. So just figured I would get it over with. After she showered me on the little stool. Then out the door. Probably 50 min in all. Overall a good experience but fare from great. Will say all the girls were 7's or better.

I am sure it is a YMMV situation. I had a most memorable experience at Bodi about 9 months ago, a very enthusiastic girl and the fact that I spoke no chinese and she spoke no english did not matter one bit.

I happen to agree with you that Shanghai is anything but a bargain. That coupled with all the shitty scams. Check out my post from 8/8 do a KW search "Shanghai Shakedown". I was questioned as to its legitimacy by some of the elders but trust me it did happen to my friend and will happen to anyone. The prices in Shanghai are a joke and the women aren't very attractive at any price. Save your $$.

I quote the old adage above. Shanghai is infamous for the scam where they take you to a place for cheap service where it costs you a fortune to get out of there. That said, there are still many BBS scattered around town where you can still get full service for less than 200 RMB if you know where to look for it. Most of these places have been posted on this thread.

I don't mean to appear stupid, but I am missing something. I have just arrived in Shanghai for my first visit. I have been reading the forum to get an idea of the lay of how things work here, and I am shocked and confused. I see borthers quoting prices like RNB1,380 to RNB1,980. This translates to US $216 to US $310. Some here say that China is still a bargain. To me these prices are no bargain.

This evening I walked along the Bund and down Walking Street alone. I was approached by men and women, young and old to go have a massageee for RNB200. Some quoted as low as RNBB100 to RNB150. This is confusing. Someone please enlighten me.

Weather is very very windy in Gubei area. There was a heavy storm this week and at least one MP is "under repair".

Shop name is a famous Yunnan city 2, located on top of a DVD shop.

The second shop with the same name is still open but apparently the whole area is on high alert / shutting at night time. I thus went to Minghang instead where the nv shifu were very nervous about what had happened especially since no news from the other nv shifu from that place yet.

I feel very sad for them. And hope things will get better. Hope no one here got caught in the process.

There seems to be also some massage places in Meihua road. Anybody tested any of them?

I walked by them one evening or late at night, some two-three years ago but did not try any of them.

Those shops are still there and have all the tell-tale signs of having extras on the menu- open late, girls sitting outside, very few reviews on damping. It seem hard to get intel on MPs in this city though. SNG lists only two chains, and a lot of those shops have closed recently. I spent a frustrating 90 minutes yesterday getting blue balled by what turned out to be a legit place- girl was massaging very high up my thigh, but no HE.

In some weeks, I'll be staying a couple of days in Jumeirah Hotel. Anybody know if the hotel is girl friendly?

Some years back I was staying across the street in Kerry and they certainly were. The first night I came in late at night with a pick up from Judy and I was so waisted, I had to ask the hotel Consigliere for my room number, when I could not remember the dam number. All the time the Vietnamese girl was waiting beside me and the hotel people said nothing, they just kindly gave me my room number. Second time I woke up Sunday morning with another Viet girl, this time taken from Manhattan. We were both hungry and she was looking for the room service menu. Darn expensive and I did not find anything I would have liked to have, so I told the girl we go downstairs for breakfast. First she was not willing to go, but I said I will not buy anything from the room service and either she comes with me or she goes.

I am pretty sure some older western ladies lost their appetite when we walked in, but nobody said anything to me.

How about the bars in Meihua Road, there are girls but are they available for P4P?

Unfortunately I confirm that now everything is again closed. I passed on the street several times last days, and during couples, I also saw police checking the situation.

If you RTFF you would know without the slightest confusion that if you go anywhere with a tout on the street, male female or young, that you are more likely to get massaged by two male thugs than a "beautiful young girl. ".

If you think prices are high, just follow some of those touts and see how much you end up paying. . .

Seriously, Shanghai is more expensive than some other locales, but not by as much as you think. Really a matter of comparing apples to apples. You can get a hot girl in a luxurious sauna for $150 - this is not some street walker who uses drugs and has had multiple kids. Same thing in Bangkok might run you $120 (and Bangkok is a really tough comparison for any mongering destination). You can snag a Viet girl at a Shanghai bar for $170/ HR or $250/ nt; in Hanoi, you'd pay about the same. In HCMC, you'd pay 25% less. Steven's site has daily specials for 1,000. But still, you're not going to match some of the bargain prices in Pattaya or Peru.

In addition to the advice you've already received on touts, you are also not comparing apples to apples. The prices you are quoting from this board are for higher end saunas. If you read further, you'll see lower end bbs's are closer to the price you heard on the street. So, 1) NEVER, EVER FOLLOW A TOUT, 2) understand different services and associated prices.

NEVER EVER FOLLOW THE TOUTS OR THE GIRLS IN FRONT OF THE HOTELS, ON THE BUND OR ON NANJING PEDESTRIAL STREET. You will pay dearly, if you do. There has been so many horrifying stories on the thread.
