If I had to guess, It would be supply and demand. I know people like to say that "This is Thailand," but I just don't think even Thai markets can escape supply and demand. The supply of talent is low and the demand is too high.

Supply low:

-Might be the sponsoring that goes on. The best / most-popular girls will get sponsored / married / move-in with a punter full time. This is no different than when they get barfined in-advanced via phone and you never get to see them dance anymore. Only the meh quality girls are left. I was at Soi Cowboy last night and nothing I liked was there. A lot of slightly overweight 6's.

-Better education and low unemployment means money isn't as important for survival. A lot of girls work in P4 P because of the need for money, not because they are just some callous gold digger.

-The only places that seem to have decent looking women also have women from Myanmar / Cambodia / Laos working there (which is supposed to be illegal and the police are "supposed" to crack down on that).

Demand High:

-Demand is high from the internet / information age. I think it used to be a few people punters were in Thailand. Once that all became publicized it grew more and more, bringing in larger amounts of tourist from all countries.

-Thailand is a safe and known sex tourist area. It's safe, unlike say Laos which could be a bad idea to stay in for P4P.

Dear fellow members and seniors, I am new to this forum. Although I have read both the threads of Tulips only and except Tulip, I was not sure so I am requesting suggestion. I will be in BKK soon for few days, I am looking for some recommendation based on current scenario. As things changes, so does the girls, so does their service level. The market forces decide the price. In fact, if the girls can charge 3000 baht per hour is because they get enough payer to support that level of compensation.

On the "worse service, more cost" issue bemoaned by some long time Bangkok punters, I see very little downside for me as a result of Japanese tourists supposedly over-paying. If they really do over-pay all that much or all that reliably often in the first place, that is. Highly doubtful, based on what I hear from girls who take the occasional Japanese customer. The customer two steps ahead of me, Japanese or not, might give a girl 5,000 baht for something I know I can get from that same girl for 2,000 baht. But before she has a chance to count his baht 5,000 baht up to 4 it has already disappeared into a black hole of partying or ATM transfers to boyfriends, husbands, possibly moms tending to their kids, if any. They are just as broke and in need of my 2,000 baht on Friday as they were for his 5,000 baht on Thursday.

Where I notice a downside for me is when I follow too many low demand customers. Low demand customers to far more harm to the next guys in line than supposedly over-paying customers, IMO. And in that regard, I believe the Japanese tourist is a primary culprit. Again, based on what I hear from girls who go with them often enough. Those dudes are more likely than most to take a girl and do virtually nothing with her, ask virtually nothing of her for the next couple of hours other than sit next to them in a disco or watch over them after they pass out on the bed in a smoke and alcohol induced stupor. Yet they will still pay them as though they'd gotten the best boom-boom or BJ in town.

There is no learning curve for a girl who expects to get 5,000 baht for what I and most reading this will only pay 2,000 baht. That chump either walks into the bar or shop and calls her over or not. And they believe that because they have been blessed with too many low demand customers willing to teach them how it is done and too few with the nerve to call them on it and in some way penalize them for it.

I have come up with a simple solution that I will use next time I go to Addict. With the full lineup in front of me I will ask the mamasan to dismiss the girls who don't DFK, then the girls who won't give BBBJ, then the girls who won't do MSG, and finally the girls who won't rim. They won't find a new line of work until either enough people complain about it or the shop suffers a pro-longed downturn in business. Until then, they are doing fairly nicely for minimum effort.
