What makes you think his efforts had anything whatever to do with "stopping" heterosexual HIV transmission in Thailand or anywhere else? There wasn't an epidemic of heterosexual HIV transmission in The Philippines and condom use was no different at the height of the HIV / AIDS hysteria in The Philippines 1980's and 1990's than it was before or since; namely, practically a non issue. I know. I was there at the time.

BTW, I notice the Cabbages & Condoms sales pitch is very clear, with descriptions and stick figure drawings just to make sure there is no mistake, that one of the big "DON'TS" is for a lady to give a man oral sex to any degree without a condom.

You get an STD; the girl (prostitute) gets pregnant; you can afford expensive treatment to cure your STD. The prostitute has to pay for an abortion. Ok, we get it. You are a bit of a judgmental, reactionary alarmist about condom use and I am not.

Have you had a vasectomy? I have. Got one decades ago. According to that nice little folded pamphlet in the condom box, a man who wears a condom, presumably that would be you, is 20 times more likely to impregnate a woman than a man with a vasectomy, that would be me.

I have been mongering all over the USA, in Central America, Asia and parts of Europe for 40+ years and the overwhelming empirical evidence I have gleaned is that a man with a vasectomy, who has been circumcised, who avoids engaging in aggressive or rough sex that would likely lead to abrasions and skin tearing, always keeps his lady well lubricated, has never shared needles, never gotten a blood transfusion, never engaged in anal sex or any other butt play, has never had sex with another man, when finished doesn't just lay there or fall asleep but goes to shower, wash and take a leak within minutes of finishing is far more likely to still be getting negative blood test results for HIV and every other significant STI, as he has for every one of those 40+ years, including right up to 5 days ago. Than to catch anything seriously dangerous from a woman's vagina or mouth, transmit something of the kind to a woman or get a woman pregnant.

I would consider all or most of the above life choices to fit the "reasonable circumstances" I referenced in my original post. By stark contrast, I would not consider, say, Charlie Sheen's life choices to fit them.

The overwhelming empirical evidence also strongly supports the contention that the two most dangerous acts you, I or anyone else performs with regard putting yourself and your Bangkok P4 P lady at serious health risk in the long run is when you buy her a Lady Drink, buy yourself an alcoholic beverage and / or light up and offer her a cigarette. Sitting or working in a smoke filled bar for extensive periods of time probably comes in third. Normal vaginal or oral sex with or without a condom, particularly for the kind of punter I described above, might come in way down the list of risky business, somewhere below crossing Sukhumvit against a red light or riding on the back of a motorbike taxi with or without a helmet.

You bring up some interesting topics in your Field Report, I. E. condom vs no condom, Thailand vs The Philippines, Burgos St. Vs everywhere else, paying upfront vs paying after, et al, that are worth exploring and discussing on a site like this, IMO.

Regarding the Crazy House lady who went "puff!! Gone" when she realized you had no condom on, can I assume there was no discussion about your not wanting to wear a condom, presumably for Full Service...

About the condom mishap. In general I never bring up FS w / out condom in the interview stage because you'll always get the same answer. NO. I do ask about BBBJ and GFE / kissing but that's it and ST or LT of course but ST is a given sop w / most ladies. By the time we get to the room things should be nice an cozy and I go for bb, if there is resistance I get the condom out. So this sprinter that I encountered should have stayed put and I get the condom but she just freaked out, it could have been an act. She was a sweetheart all the way to that point, I was a bit shocked w / her bolting so quickly.

Another couple of things about condoms and hookers. In Thailand (w my limited experience there) only the top ladies demand them and I always comply. The mid level ladies not so much, maybe a token request. These ladies are more into pleasuring the monger for repeat business. ALSO some hookers know that condoms prolong the session and so these ladies have their own reasons to allow barebacking. There are a lot of things going on in this game when the rubber (no pun intended) meets the road. Okay, what else was there? Oh, my 50% comment. That is pertaining to the percentage of sessions I feel went beyond my expectations. In the PI, AC is upfront bar fines and I have the same failure rate, at least 20%. AC is much cheaper than other places (getting less so) and so the up front thing is tolerable for me. Plus the ladies are not so aware of a clock ticking. You can run around w / them until you're tired of it and they will be happy to be w / you. In Burgos St that is not the case but close enough.

This last trip I took a week away from Thailand, I spent 2 days in AC (one good, one bad) and then left for Makati for 4 days. I am only experienced w / Burgos St. I've been to LA Cafe and to Havana Cafe but my focus is the pussy on Burgos St. It gets more and more expensive as the days go by. For a working guy like myself it is almost out of my league. The bar fines are around 2,600 p and the go go dancers want 3000 p ST, granted this is a top club's prices but still, MFer that hurts a bit.

Nevertheless I took from the same club my last 3 nights on Burgos St. I would dine in Pasha Cafe at the corner where Kojax is located and see their dancers going to work, that's how they got me in there. Prior to that I was going to stay clear of the big bars on Burgos but I am weak for the top flesh and so I went into Kojax's and was throwing money around soon as my butt hit the seat.

ALL OF THE LADIES THERE will go w / whitey and I picked all good ones, the sex was only above satisfactory but I just liked them personally. So each night there I saw my date for the following night, while my dancer was in the back changing clothes I would call down tomorrows prospect and tell her I was coming for her tomorrow. This worked well for them and I was happy about it too.

So, in my narrow experience in the PI and Thailand Burgos is the only place where no discrimination exist. Why?

It is also interesting that you said your best success rate among all the places you went during this recent trip was on Burgos Street in Manila. That makes total sense to me considering there being much less to do about condom use among the ladies of The Philippines in general and, unless things have changed in the several years since I last visited The Philippines, Manila is one area where the system is to pay the girl after the deed vs Angeles City where you generally pay the girl's fee upfront and to the bar. That latter system in Angeles City, paying the girl's fee upfront and to the bar, is precisely why I had a much higher rate of cheaters as you say in Angeles City and virtually never had one in Manila. I would hate to see a pay-upfront system taking hold in any Thai go-go bars.
