I usually cruise the areas near the main market and the back packers district, occasionally came across a few real gems on the streets. But you have to cruise around until you find the right ones.

Nguyen Tri Thanh is still very active. I'd suggest going there on a weekend evening for possibly the best choice, but they are there all day. Daytime is difficult because they often wear masks then. You can ride next to them and make a deal or stop your bike on the side of the road and they will approach you. There seem to be a few ok girls here, among the lesser ones.

Hong Bang usually has a couple ok girls on the right side as you approach Nguyen Trai St in the evening. I don't ride down the other side so not sure about that.

As recently as a few months ago, there was a spot on Ly Thuong Kiet with some nice looking SW. I took one and it seems that 500,000 was standard plus 100 for the hotel. If you want a SW in this area, this is where I'd go.s.

Cong Hoa in Tan Binh District, 23-9 Park in District 1, Linh Xuan Bypass in Thu Duc District and An Suong T-Road in District 12.

Have also seen prostitutes publicly waving down passers-by.

De Tham 212, District 1, One of Saigon's most popular night spots, "The Crazy Buffalo" offers outdoor open air seating at one of the busiest intersections in the city. This bar is open 24/7. You can find prostitutes here around 3 am.

Hic. I usually go to bar looking for girls, not expats, however, have met some interesting folks at Go2 bar in the Bui Vien backpackers area. It is a bar mainly for late night pickup, but you will find plenty of expats, some pretty drunk by that time, willing to talk up a storm with you. Of course they can also drink. Very well. There were times that I got pretty wasted and totally forgot about picking girls, untill next day. Cheers,

But don't be mistaken, the girls in these bars will typically not go home with any guys, unless you are a regular. These are BMD bars. If you go to them without the expectation of getting a f*ck you can have a nice time. There was one bar where they actively scammed people, it was the Chili Bar, but I think that has closed down. If you are on a budget, go light on the Girl drinks in these places as they are $6 or $7 a pop. (But that is still quite a bit less than Singapore I guess).

Yes I agree there is no such thing as a free lunch. I suggest what you do is hire a bike and ride around looking for these places, avoid paying 100 usd ST, and 500 k for HJ and 50 usd for bjs, as locals pay 40 usd for St, 10 usd for HJ and 15 usd for BJ. When you have spent your holiday looking for these places. Then next time come back and exchange with info with someone who also knows something, as ID doubt you'd be willing to give it out for nothing given the time and effort you made. As its most likely after sharing you will come back only to find out that your hard earnt discovery has been spoilt both in price and in the girls attitude. That being said if you so worried about commissions and buy drinks for "guides" then its best you DIY.

Well it just pays to shop around MC! Don't it!
